  • The Terrible Trio. 50-0, 46-0 & 32-0. JEALOUSY

There's very few hall of fame accomplish boxers who manage to get the amount of hate as the Terrible Trio. Hate and Jealousy are among some of the emotions most hard core boxing fans and also casual boxing fans have for this trio.

Very few boxers can walk into the boxing ring and leave with a perfect record. Not only that these boxers retired from boxing, boxing didnt retire them.

These boxers should be more respected within their sport but I have notice through out the years These three always seemed to gather the most hate.

I always wanted to know why these three boxers are the most hated. First, I thought it was pure hate then I started to realize it was more jealousy.

No matter how you slice it. If your favorite boxer isn't one of these three. There's a good chance we have seen your favorite boxer get beaten up, knocked out, or took a Lost in the ring at some point in their career. However we have yet to see these three never Lost and since they are all retired their records will remain undefeated.

I been on espn boxing pages back since 2009. Even then these fighters were not respected. Fast forward to 2025. Their names still trigger hatred in alot of people. Before we can move foward we have to admit you have an illness and its jealousy. Creating forums on made up hypothetical fights to put down the Terrible Trio will not rewrite history. Creating a false narrative will also not rewrite history.

We have seen Canelo, Ali, Roy Jones, Frazier, Chavez, Duran, Hagler, Hearns, De La Hoya, Pacquiao, Leonard, Lomachenko, and many others lose in the ring. However these three fighters are not respected among the greats.

Do you deep down have hate, jealousy or animosity. towards these fighters?

The Terrible Trio first appeared in batman comics in the 1950s. The Terrible are named after predators in each respected class. The Fox, The Shark and The Vulture.

    50-0 = The Fox
    46-0 = The Shark
    32-0 = The Vulture

If you read this far and your blood is boiling. Thats good. That means you have problem. From one former hater to a current hater I would like for you to do better and accept you are jealous of these three great boxers.

I must admit. I did enjoy Tarver beating Roy Jones, I enjoyed watching Frankie Randell vs Chavez I, Lennox vs Rahman I, I must admit one of my guilty pressures was watching Holms vs Ali or Hearns vs Duran.

I had a problem. It took me years to put my jealousy down of great fighters and look at their careers as a boxing fan that was objective and not subjective. I had to view every boxer through the same lens and I couldn't get caught up in their fan base, culture, nationality or etc. I had to respect the boxers craft and skillset even if I didn't like their personality or style. I had to respect their craft !

As a former Jones, Chavez, Lennox Lewis hater. I now respect their careers and their impact on boxing. Hopefully reading this you will also respect the careers of the Terrible Trio.

      - - I luvvvvved when l'l floydy went squallin' to his cra ck daddy during the Maidana fight that illegally stopped stopped the time, guaranteed DQ in most jurisdictions.

And Wart who couldn't draw flies got so upset at Canelo making all that $$$ that his pissant purses ever could went into training to show him up. When that did work, he trained Plant who shares his Imelda Marcos Shoe Collection additions. Net result was Plant got planted by Canelo...boooowooohooo...

So are you admitting to some kind of hatred or jealousy towards ward or Mayweather due to factors outside of their skills/ craft ? Ward being not popular has nothing to do with his skillsets inside the ring.

Wtf kind of thread is this

          Fighters will have critics

          Fighters will always have critics

If the fighter or the fanboy of the fighter can't take the heat, get out the kitchen

Thats a lie. There's fighters that have bigger followers of haters then most. Thats the point of this thread. Obviously you disagree.

So who is more hated among all time great fighters then these three undefeated fighters ?

There's no reason why Floyd, Calazage or Ward should have so many haters. Especially Floyd and Ward among American media and fans. Go to any boxing channel or website. The topic can be Womens boxing and out of no where Someone has to bring up floyd mayweather for no reason but to throw dirt on his name. I been seeing this for the last 15 years. It makes no sense for a fighter to live rent free in somebody's head like that. Its beyond critics. Its hate.

man I know I'm gonna get hit w the color line comments but Calzaghe is the most impressive on here, trekkin to the usa and moving up in weight. He had heart and always trained hard. Ward is the most overrated by far, he's not an ATG by any stretch. he's one of these new school fighters that talks with a fake drake accent. Floyd is good but not nearly as good as say, a guy like Robinson.

and 0 should always be questioned though, everyone at one point is undefeated. Yes this applies to Marciano too. but these days, everyone seems to be undefeated lol

They weren’t hated for being undefeated. For every Floyd hater there as a Floyd fan who hated on Manny, Canelo and Oscar. The reason for their hatred had nothing to do with their respective skills and more to do with cult-like loyalty to Floyd. Some fighters bring the hate upon themselves. I can recall Floyd and his fans referring to his opponents as B and C level fighters, yet they bragged about beating them. He hinged his legacy on being undefeated and making a lot of money, but a closer look at his career path reveals a lot of cherry picking, ducking, and timing his opponents careers on their way up or down. A fighter who shows no respect for his opponents shouldn’t expect any in return.

he's a good fighter who worked hard, my issue is keep him far away from the goat lists, cause he ain't even close. nobody misses him and everyone has already forgotten about him.
