I agree Bowe did not look good against Golota either time, losing on the score cards each time.

But how much does a low blow take out of a fighter? Those low blows by Golota were not controversial. They were multiple, vicious, deliberate, and very low punches.

I felt as though each time Bowe started to find a rhythm, Golota would stop him in his tracks with another low blow.

I wonder, but don't know; I think if Golota doesn't cheat, Bowe would have found his zone and taken command of the fight? Stopping Golota late.

Golota a nut case couldn't help ruining his fine work, but Big Dummy was just a 2bit thug who actually kidnapped his wife and daughter at gunpoint. His criminally thugish mgr Rock Newman dangerously clotheslined Elija Tillery to the ring floor in tough fight.

• Tillery was hurt midway through Round 1 by a right hand. A left hook sent Tillery down at 2:52. He was up at the count of six and received a mandatory eight-count. Although it appeared that the round should have been over after the standing eight-count, the two fighters were allowed to continue for another 10-15 seconds. After the referee called an end to the round, in retaliation to a jab after the bell by Bowe, Tillery kicked Bowe three times. As a melee ensued, Tillery was pulled backwards over the ropes and onto the floor by Bowe's manager Rock Newman. Tillery was disqualified for "a flagrant kick".

Basically Bowe was being bumrushed so they could ambush the smaller Evan Field for his title.

P.S. Did you know that that idiot (Bowe) had 90 million in assets at the time if his divorce? He wasn't even broke; he just went crazy. Legitimately crazy.

***Golota was clearly winning the bout in what would have been a major upset. He was getting to Bowe with combinations, quieting most of the crowd, which rooted for the Brooklyn-born Bowe.

Bowe was punch drunk before any craziness and never more than a double digit IQ who likely couldn't read or write any more than his signature.

I wouldn't say each time. There were moments where that was the case, but Golota was getting the better of the fight at any range, whether it was a regular flow or tense where they would have wilder exchanges. He outjabbed Bowe, lit him up with combinations and knocked him down several times in both fights. Clearly the much superior fighter. Golota just could not handle the fact that Bowe would not go down and stay down like almost any other opponent would have from that kind of punishment.. He has admitted this several times, he's pretty open about those fights. Btw, does Golota still hold the record for most amount of power punches landed by a HW?

It was never a clean fight. In the second fight when Bowe scored his only knockdown, it was ultimately done by the last couple of rabbit punches. Bowe, a career cheat, top contender ducking street thug, has a long laundry list of fights where he low blows, rabbit punches, pulls necks, elbows etc.

Never feel sorry for that man, ever. I only hope Golota knocked his baby makers loose enough so that we don't have more idiots like Bowe and Tyson running around the streets.
