Of course this is your defense. "There is nothing proven". There is nothing proven they didnt ask for a catchweight. Its he said/she said. But the FACT remains that Froch was a retired fighter and Gennady never fought at supermiddleweight. He sure could have made that Ward fight though.......Froch did.

That article is from 2016 I'm talking years 14'-15' when from the horses mouth may or may not have been retired. Ward already fought custom weight by then so he would not realistically have made 168 and not show up a corpse based on the facts.

You're trying to make Froch look like he ducked GGG while he had already retired, and are making excuses why Golovin couldn't have fought Ward. Thing is, you're assuming because Ward moved up he couldn't make weight. I disagree. He didn't fight in 2014 but was still training. In 2015 he moved to 175 and weighed in at a mere 171 3/4 lbs. So Golovkin was a viable fight (both active and NOT retired) anytime between 2011 to 2015, but he didn't want it. Which is funny, because in 2016 he had no problem bringing Kell Brook up two weight divisions to fight him. So if you're going to continue with the narrative that a retired fighter ducked Golovkin, you have to admit it certainly looks like an active Golovkin ducked Ward.

As i said earlier in this discussion, Froch didnt duck GGG, he was retired. Golovkin didnt duck Ward, they were in different weight classes. But if you really need to make a case for ducking it certainly appears Gennady ducked Ward far obviously than Froch did GGG. No?

Well yeah he retired during peak GGG and passed up on the biggest payday being a prizefighter in his prime or near his prime.

How do you know it would have been his biggest payday? Was there an official offer I'm not aware of?

Why didnt prime GGG move up and fight Ward? HBO would have picked that right up, no doubt.

During the 14-15 era Ward was 171 3/4 on the scales after the weight cut, you want to cut an extra 3.5 lbs from that against prime 3G, good luck with that. Why would Ward gamble with his life like that, it makes no sense and that is why it did not happen.

Ward didn't fight in 2014, and his weight of 171 3/4 was a lightheavyweight fight where his opponent, Paul Smith came in at 176 1/3 lbs. Please stop making things up.

HBO wanted GGG - Froch, it could have been in Wembley or P4P in Vegas in a superfight, Froch did not want Big Drama Show, did not want Mexican Style this is all on record. Did not want his freak orbital bone structure rearranged by GGG and retire a Schlemiel. Froch backed out of negotations. So in this perspective I don't think Froch would have believed in himself enough to beat actually Calzaghe although (Froch) takes every chance possible to be associated with the Calzaghe brand.

Making more stuff up i see. Please post a link to HBO wanting Froch to come out of retirement and fight GGG at a catchweight. I'll wait, but I know nothing will be forthcoming except more lies and made up things. So unless you can't post that link...you've officially bored me.
