Billy Collins. Despite the tragedy he really didn't have much going except a pretty face, white skin, and TV deal.

I understand the Lewis/Resto cheat but Billy didn't actually do a great job blocking those 'two thousand' pitty-pat punches he took to the face.

Without being cheated, he still wasn't going into the top tier of MWs. Just a 21st Century Chuck Davey.
    - - Doubt Billy and his dumbo dad had made much more than rent $$$ by the time of Resto who was in the same boat.

            - - Riled up ol'man tubby Lar enough to be knocked down by Bean.

Would be embarrassing for any one not named tubby Lar who has proven to be utterly shameless...

Derek Chisora keeps getting big fights for some reason. It's insane that with all of his losses he remains a top contender all these years.

Malignaggi made more than what his boxing skills were worth. He wasn't a bad fighter but he earned well above his skills and ability. I know Gatti will enter the conversation for the same reasons but he gave it his absolute all in the ring and got fans up out of their seats. P4P one of the most entertaining fighters.

Buster Douglas earned well above his means as a fighter.

I'll toss Conor McGregor in there. Although he built a name for himself as a UFC fighter, he was 0-0 as a boxer when he fought Floyd and earned over $100 million for that contest.

                Rosi! Unbelievable grabber was he.

Maybe I'm being harsh. But I think the likes of both Ward and Gatti get a pass from this list.

For whereas their skills may not have been as their paychecks suggest. I think their entertainment value made them worth the price of the ticket.

It seems to me a litmus test for this category would be to ask the question, "Did you get your money's worth"?

With both Ward and Gatti that answer would be yes.
