for example everyone knows the computer fight was a fake fight.

what I posted about was documentation of what went on behind the scenes when you put a guy like Marciano in with Ali and telll them to spar. It heats up.

Any real boxing fan knows these 2 would have a hard time fooling around for 50+ rounds of sparring (whatever it was)

because there were ringside observers there it gives interesting info as to how it went down.

very often a sparring session is what sets the outcome for a fight. For example:

Holyfield knew he would beat Tyson after sparring him
Greb knew Dempsey would duck him after sparring him
Marcianos wife said she was positive Marciano would beat Ali (after the sparring sessions). This video is on youtube simply search Marcianos wife talks about Ali.

because this is a fantasy fight and we don���¢��������t know the outcome, all of this is interesting info for a boxing fan.

MOST people don���¢��������t give Marciano a chance. They don���¢��������t see his style. They see a short white guy who swings.

I make these posts because I am almost positive Marciano get���¢��������s to Ali late - based on styles and temperament. If Joe could do it Marciano is gonna do it only hell finish the job.

Ali is faster and rangier than Marciano but he can�t punch down. Just like Joe couldn�t punch down. To make matters worse Ali has no uppercut. He has jabs and crosses and aims at the head. He�s not a huge puncher. Ali�s proportions show he is mostly legs with a short torso.

by viewing the sparring session even as they play around its easy to see Ali would have a hard time keeping him off, let alone a 29 year old Rock. He couldn�t keep Frazier off of him for the same reasons. So he�s forced to lie on the ropes and take breaks. Marciano crushes his arms not just his body. In fact one of the biggest complaints from Ali during the sparring session was the blows to his arms that were debilitating.

another thing I like to do is reverse roles. Marciano was 45 and 13 years out of the ring. With no tuneups or anything.

I have statements by 3 of the participants.None of them mentioned Ali being on the floor for 5 minutes , none of them mentioned Ali demanding any tapes be destroyed,and none of them mentioned Barbara Marciano being there.

You have two possibilities before you, either you are right and all those making fun of your Marciano posts don't know what they are looking at.

He twice beat strong as a bull and tough as old boots Chuvalo , even allowing him to tee off on his midsection in their 1st fight.

Ali retreated to the corners against Frazier in FOTC because he had only 18rds of boxing in the previous 3 1/2years,his stamina was compromised and he did not trust his legs.

That version of Ali put Frazier in the hospital for a month,and many believe Frazier,who fought the fight of his life, was never the same again.

Frazier bruised Ali's hip bones in FOTC none knew that till the next day yet he is in trouble with Marciano?

Ali used the rope a dope against Foreman absorbing hellacious blows to the body and arms for8 rounds , yet Marciano is going to do worse than Foreman?
Marciano v Foreman? Marciano would not be around for the 8th round,he would be in A & E.

Ali wasn't a terrific puncher but ,when he came down off his toes and set himself he could punch! Ask Liston,Bonavena,Lyle,Foreman.

When past prime Ali ,took Shavers right hand without going down,why wouldn't a prime Ali be able to take Marciano's? Ali was punching down in most of his fights.He was punching down when he kod Folley,Liston.
Ever tried landing your best punch on a man nearly 5 inches taller,with10 inches more reach.

Did Wlad,Vitali,Lewis.Have trouble punching down?

Marciano's Wife goes to watch the fake fight a year after its made and declares Rocky would have beaten Ali?
Well that settles it! You have to accept an unbiased,impartial, knowledgeable observers verdict!


Its my opinion,and only my opinion,that prime Ali jabs Marciano's face into raw hamburger,and that his right cross wobbles him several times.
After 6/7 rounds Rocky's face would be a mask of blood and he would have to be rescued on unsteady legs by the referee.
Ali went through hell in some fights, but still won.
So did Marciano,but Marciano was facing mostly older men around 185/190lbs.

Ali was facing big ,prime heavyweights 212 /220lbs heavy duty ****ers.Punchers the likes of that Marciano never saw.

Ali had faster hands , faster feet ,was a better boxer,with better defence,a better chin,better resistance to cuts,longer reach,was as strong.
= He wins.

She knew a lot about drinking!
