Good bump. Since Ivich's body of work here has 'gone missing', I would enjoy seeing a list from Bronson66, who reminds me quite a lot of the aforementioned. I've read about everything listed on this thread, and consider many of the authors friends, and others valued acquaintances as they all turn up at the IBHOF for the past 35 years, to provide discussions about their published products and anything else that comes up. Some are gone now.

Many years ago, I bought a close out quantity of the book pictured here from book retailer Barnes & Noble, so that I could pass copies out to people to use as (what I regard as) a great introduction to the sport. In all the years, I've never found a better intro for a person seeking to understand the rich history of our sport.

Nothing like a paper book to hold onto, even now.
I have a very extensive antiquarian book collection. Lots of extremely rare ones, first editions, manuscripts, etc. Prized possessions. Fun stuff.
      I have the book pictured.

That's a great collection! You learn plenty by reading. Anyway; that's what Mom always said, so it's gotta be true.

I had many of those once upon a time.

I would add Shadowbox by George Plimpton.

The section on the build up to the first Ali fight gave a stark insight as to just how much awe and terror Liston was regarded in by press and public alike.
