A history of Boxes by Patrick Playter Hartigan https://www.amazon.com/History-Boxes.../dp/0557015030 quite enjoyable

The Arc of Boxing: The Rise and Decline of the Sweet Science by Mike Silver also looks like a good one.

An additional pair of must-read books:

For the ones who haven't yet realized who this guy really is (not in a positive sense, I mean).

              And, especially:

No words necessary for this, I believe.

Some of you good people might be interested in the Hamilcar Noir True Crime Series, which comprises a number of small, but well-researched books about a few modern-day fighters whose life ended in tragic circumstances, or who were involved in criminal cases. Definitely worth a good read.

I have the Ibeabuchi, Valero, Tapia and Gatti ones, and they are all quite absorbing.

Both of Adam Pollack’s books on Dempsey.
Good choices. I was going to mention corner men too. Great book. Also like klomptons book on greb.

Funny how deep dives into niche topics can totally reshape how you think. I was brushing up on some advanced chemistry concepts recently (don’t ask why, it’s a long story), and stumbled into the chemistry summer school . Let’s just say it didn’t feel like your typical classroom slog. It actually helped me connect the dots between what I thought were abstract theories and real-world applications, which made things click. If you're into exploring beyond the basics and want something more hands-on, it's honestly worth checking out.
