Johnson agreed to carry Ketchel,because,since he was on a percentage of the film rights,it was in his interest to do so. Johnson stated he would stop Ketchel inside 12 rounds,and told his camp to bet on it.it happened in the 12th.

My response was why would Johnson need to have the Ketchel fight fixed? He carried Ketchel, on one occasion grabbing him and setting him back on his feet when he unintentionally hit him too hard.

We have the film of the fight,in which Johnson ,after clipping Ketchel grabs him and holds him upright,we have the testimony of ringsiders who stated they heard Johnson say "where you going Stanley,we aint finished yet"

Have you ever read a book on Ketchel or Johnson which claims the fight was fought on its merits with Johnson doing his best from the get go? If you have, name its title and author?
