Point out where I said ,suggested,or implied Braddock was a heavyweight in that fight? Jesus Christ it was for the NY version of the Lhvy Title. You think I didn't know that? And Braddock was 170lbs ,not174lbs.Comment

Idk if it is or not nor do I care per se. The fact they cared about a novelty fight was my main point.
Like I always say circus fights aren't new to boxing so ppl shouldn't dog ppl that do them now unless they are dogging this guy in the video & John L & Ali & all the others in history who did them. There is a long history of novelty fights in boxing. Its nothing new like some ppl suggest it is.Comment

Yeah and if light heavyweight spinks can beat on 6 ft 7 cooney as bad as he did, I am pretty sure we shouldn’t write braddock off due to being a former lhwComment

Braddock was 170lbs to Loughran's 174lbs,but when he fought Baer he had added 24lbs to his frame.
If size did not matter neither of them would have thought it necessary to do so.

I would if you watch him and compare other heavyweight champions and top contenders. Braddock is not as talented as Spinks was, so why use him in your reasoning? Yes it is true he did not fight in two years as champion, yet he floored Joe Louis in his return match. IMO, that says more about Louis than you would care to admit.Comment
