I pointed out Robinson was conceding16 pounds to him.
I pointed out Jake only beat 1 of that Murderers Row trio ,so naming the other 2 was irrelevant.
Zivic was a welter who conceding 6 1.2lbs and 10,1/2lbs beat him twice.
    Cerdan had to retire injured.
Satterfield was a novice who had beaten nobody.
Angott was what 4 lbs lighter? Hardly 16 lbs is it?
If you wanted to"flex your knowledge," you would have done better to mention Jake's wins over middleweights, some of which were impressive.Dauthille,Mitri,Villemain,Basora, and a past prime Williams for example, but you didn't.
I'm not trying to show my knowledge, I cribbed those stats directly from Box rec.
There is nobody on this forum I feel the urge to try and impress lol. I can't take a pill I'm in the middle of taking a litre of Movi Prep,I have a procedure tomorrow.
Just please don't try and ascribe motives to me I do not have.
I was going to impress Dr Z, but cannot hold onto this ***el of a tidbit any longer! Guess what? Einstein was ***ish!!!

You only go to this level of scrutiny when it's a fighter you wish to knock down a peg or two. Again, I pointed out how you don't take McVey or Jeannette's inexperience into account, or McVey and Langford's age, yet you do so for LaMotta's resume. I'm just asking for consistency. I don't think that is being creepy or antagonistic. Enjoy your colonoscopy, hope it's a clean bill of health, lol.

Thank God too. Hitler cut off all funding for nuclear research because he decided that Germany didn't need "***ish science" to win the war. Threw all the money into rocket research instead.

I some times wonder if in all of those thousands upon thousands of ***s Hitler had murdered, there might have been someone who could have found a cure for cancer?

Think about this for a moment: it was inevitable we were going to find the bomb. I mean the chemistry is right there. Big heavy elements, with forms that can throw off stuff and start a chain reaction... was going to happen sooner or later.

But Goddard and the whole rocket concept is an anomoli. Would we have thought one could create thrust in a vacuum? And the idea of getting through the atmosphere and all... I wonder what we would have had, if Goddard had not been funded. Rocket science is truly exotic compared to the simplicity of nuclear chemistry.

These things matter: You can actually make a combustion engine that uses water for the pressure instead of pistons, and the technology for nuclear physics could run engines with no emmissions... What gets funded and what does not is destiny. We still, at this point in time, have not found what gravity is, and because of this all of our travel is localized. Dependent on traversing space and time and not shrinking space and time with mass.

Ive no wish to knock Lamotta down a peg ,I'm a fan of his.
Comparing 13-2-1 Satterfield with 56 fight Langford who had already beaten one ATG world champ in Gans and drawn with another inWalcott and rumbled with top class fighters like
                  Holly
                  Blackburn
                  McFadden
                  Jackson
And had fought Jeannette twice, is neither consistent nor logical.
I'm not having an exploratory op it's a removal one, a flexible sigmoidoscopy, after drinking 2 litres of strong laxative and several litres of water,I shall certainly be clean.I'm signing off on this now because I'm not really in the best of moods, and am making impromptu trips to the toilet and I don't want this exchange to degenerate further.

I believe Jake belongs in the top 10 or very near it. Mainly due to the fact that he fought many fighters that others wouldn't face. He beat most of them bit also caught some Ls. Guys like Holman Williams, Jimmy Edgar, Bob Satterfield to name a few.

People tend to focus on his series with Sugar Ray but his career was more than that. Similar to Liston in that he did his best work before he got a title shot. With that said he did have one of the great comebacks in middleweight championship history against the French challenger (his name escapes me) where he played possum and knocked the guy out in round 15 behind on the cards. Dauthille?

I didn’t compare Satterfield to Langford. What I did was offer an impressive list of LaMotta’s opponents that justify his place in the top ten. Even with 16 fights Satterfield was a dangerous puncher. You dismissed his wins over Zivic while glossing over Robinson who also held wins over the smaller Zivic.

Langford was a middleweight at 21 years old when he fought Johnson, who was a HW and six inches taller. It was a mismatch then as it would be today. No one would celebrate a Holyfield win over Hagler. Or Usyk defeating Canelo.
