I am not taking sides, BUT how do you know he wanted rematch but never sought one? This is contradictory statement.

His trainer had been working with pros for Universum since 1994, easily looked up. I know for a fact he said he would win back HIS title..he said this during the interview after the Byrd fight. Does that mean he wanted a rematch with Byrd? I don't know. What do you think though? The fact is he never sought one. Both were ranked closely for several years yet no offer presented itself. You can deduct from that what you will, but the point stands. Vits never looked to avenge that loss rather leaving it to Wlad. Boxing isn't a tag team.
