We need one more and than have to decide what order they go in.
How far back do you want to go? Peter Jackson. And there were modern contenders that were not Ring Magizne Champions or lineal.

Go back as far as you want and we can make our cases as to why or why not each fighter should make the top 10 all time contenders list.

you seriously saying cooney could beat bugner. i thought this was for clever boxing fans. you are at risk of becoming like queeny!
donovan rudduck was great. he won canadian title but as queeny will testify that wasn't too hard. ruddock was a great fighter

They're pretty close resume wise. Personally I think Cooney wins. He's a little bigger, a little faster, but throws better body punches and hits harder. Would be an interesting fight, Bugner showed he was tough as nails on more than one occasion. I think Joe would last about 8 rounds before Cooney broke him down and stopped him. Of course I could be entirely off base as well.

yeah i agree but bugner was seen as so boring to watch cooney's fights could be better for a fan to watch. bugner was the epitome of defensive fighting.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUMBQW_n4j4 this is cooney's highlights. i'm not sure if bugner was exciting enough to have a showreel. Ali did tell parkinson that bugner was a great boxer and that he was a bit young for their fight in 75.

I wouldn't argue against Bugner considering the era he competed in. I've always felt that Ruddock was overrated and one dimensional.

Johnson just too small really, and obviously more of a LHW competing at HW for a short time.

But with that said he beat Ezzard Charles, Nino Valdez, Eddie Machen, Jimmy Bivins amongst others so his resume is actually quite strong at Heavyweight in comparison to some of the others.

But H2H he would likely lose a lot due to his size.

I agree with all of this, but maybe he should be in because of his resume, as should some of the other, and than let the chips fall where they may. There are surely contenders that would be considered more dangerous, but never proved it against as many good fighters. I'd personally rather put in the contender that earned his keep rather than the one that lived off a reputation. This is just my opinion, I'm open to suggestions.
