Lewis he could barely celebrate, and make no mistake about it, Lewis who said he rematch tried to make other matches after this fight. But when the WBC ordered a re-match and the boxing world was excited, Lewis retired.

Ponder what if Louis never re-matched Scheming, Ali retired as he wanted to in his corner by was talked out it by Dundee, Ali never re-matched Frazier. Well--Vitale as you spell it NEVER got the chance. This thread isn't about the losses the fighters are on his quality top ten ring magazine wins and other reasons why he's special.
I never really commented about Vitalie other than to say he looked in better condition for the fight than Lewis did. Again, explaining away all adversity... I concede to you the fact that Vitalie looked better means he won the fight.

He lost to Byrd, that is a fact.

Lewis had every right to decide to retire... He took on all commers and he did not take another fight after this. Stop bending things to make it look like Vitalie never faultered and Lewis always faltered, you look really silly doing so. Nothing to ponder... I am not the one getting punched in the face... lewis has nothing to ponder! Both men fought valently.

Imagine how much worse Byrd would beat Vits if he had more time to prepare for him? Maybe that's why Vits never sought the rematch. Makes sense.
The sheer lack of logic. I am trying to remain diplomatic... Its like when Lewis gets punched in the face it is because he is lacking, but when Vitalie gets punched in the face it is circumstances beyond his control. Oh and Sam peter has been elevated! Slow, ponderous, arguably lost to Toney both times, but after all... he fought Vitalie!

It makes no sense whatsoever. More logical to conclude he was caught having to make a decision, impulsively perhaps, and overestimated his ability... making for a tough fight.
He wasn’t out of shape, so he wasn’t crazy. He had a full camp!

            Wut? Srsly? You don’t understand?

let me try again then: All things equal. Is the best fighter out of 10 better than the best fighter out of 1000? Very simple question.

How many Vitalie K's does it take to change a lightbulb? "what that lightbulb?! that lightbulb broke itself, and someone took the ladder... its not so dark.

Um no, Byrd as I told you was busy in Don King's heavyweight round fighting only guys he signed in John Ruiz, Andrew Gotota, E Holyfield and Rahman. Vitali was not invited..So don't blame him on not matching Byrd. This is the second time we have been over this!

Lewis was preparing for a 12 round match with Kirk Johnson, Vitali was fighting a nobody on under card. Advance Lewis. And Lewis ran for the re-match.

Come on, you are better than this.

I'm sure you will give me the real insider info.

Opponents added weight to fight Vitali? Did they?

Sanders was heavier in all his subsequent fights.

Adamek was heavier in all his next 14 bouts.

Charr added 14lbs for his next fight AFTER Vitali and was only lighter in 3 of his previous 21 fights.

Chisora was17 lbs lighter for Vitali than he had been.

Do you know what is really astonishing?
That a complete ignoramus as far as boxing is concerned like yourself, actually thinks he has some knowledge and is impressing the forum with this pidgin, baby talk nonsense. It's mind blowing!
                    - - Well, I saw my first bouts when I was 5, and this a cavalcade of what turned out to be the golden HOF era of the 50s that so many wrongfully disparage.

Gonna have to try harder since U being outgunned as in most of U fights.
