    - - Vit landed on both elbows head upright.

We have yet to obtain a tourney certified result, ie "NEVER," but at best it was a KD followed by a DQ due the illegal spinning back kick, the only one of the fight.

    Simples for simpletons...

Agree about the KD not KO - don't think he got DQed. At least that's whathe said in interview.

He stated he heard the referees discussing DQing him but decided he wasn't trying for the KO so the use of proper technique carried the issue.

It wasn't that terribly hard a kick, just perfectly timed and targeted.

It was the only kick delivered by either man worth a damn. Found it a ****** sport to watch.

It's superfoot Wallace. And those guys had decades of experience, especially Lewis. Vits and Reid mere amateurs in years and experience.

            And Vits was still slept.

In November 1993, he took part in the world amateur championship of WAKO, held at Atlantic City, New Jersey. He defeated William Eves (USA) by KO with his back-spin-kick at the final match of 89:kg cl*.

I didn't realize Vitali was pre K-1. Just, never noticed. Great post bud.

It was illegal by the rules of the tournament. And it was an amateur event. Vitali was the heavyweight kick boxing champion with a 34-2 record . He was a skinny kid back then, and later switched his focus to boxing.

Does anyone know the exact rule broken? It's my understanding, and I may be wrong, but the kick itself wad legal. It was the intent that was questioned and later on justified as a legal, hence no disqualification.

Vits got layed out though......pheeeeww!! Getting kick in the head by a world class amateur let alone pro is no joke.
