And in this thread it seems the consensus is either James Toney or Bernard Hopkins.

That’s not debatable it’s either one of those two wins being his best win.

Most say Toney because he was in his prime, but I’d say a pre-peak 1993 version of Hopkins is still better than that version of 96 version of Toney.

        - - Two Ton #1 p4p and 168.

Pre peak Roy fighting a mature 28 yr old Poppy pretty much negated Poppy with one hand since early in the fight he broke his right. Moved in reverse using check hooks and walking him into jabs.

Did such a number on Poppy that he quit his $4 mil contract with Dibella rather than fight a peak Roy now at 168.

this is how we know you're a moron and a liar. First off, by 2000 Roy was fighting at lightheavy and Hopkins still a middleweight yet to fight in Don Kings middleweight tournament. So where am I going with this? The fact is that DiBella was with HBO until 2000 when he left to start his promotional business. So once again you're caught either ignorant to the facts or lying. You pick.

            - - Irrelevant nonsense.

U can't read a time line to understand Roy emasculated Poppy such that much later Poppy was willing to accept a 4 mil forfeiture settlement to Dibella for turning down the Roy contract.

Another lie. The only settlement Hopkins had with DiBella was for libel. This has been proven more than once, yet you keep trolling nonsense.

Although as mentioned there are those who will say Toney killed himself making the weight.

An interesting choice. Care to elaborate why you chose him?
He did kill himself making weight. I wasn't at Galaxy during that time but I can tell you that he was riding that stair climber in his 'plasric suit with the heat on max in the gym, sweatin' ballz to make that weight.

James was not right for that fight.............Rockin'

A big fat lazy Toney was his biggest win.

No different than any other James Toney fight but you can keep using that excuse as to why Roy Jones totally dominated him like he’d never boxed a day in his life.
