Of course half the time I am thinking of qualifier after another that he isn't addressing but that is the nature of stats.
You know what I mean. How many HRs does Ruth have if he didn't play his home games in the Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium with their short right field?
Boxing just doesn't lend itself to stats but I love stats.Comment

Babe set over a half dozen HR records as a deadball pitcher with writers shaking out every obscure HR record they could find dating back to the 1880s or so.
In Fenway park!
Either the tying or record breaker in Polo with a shot into the upper deck, as near as out of the park as anyone had ever seen in the deadball era.
I could go on about Babe vs everyone else, but I'll just leave you with this- Aaron 755 Hr relocated to Atlanta Stadium and Mays with 660 HR in Candlestick Park.
Had they been switched to each other's parks, Mays would've hit about 790 Hr and Aaron about 610. Had Babe gone from Fenway to Atlanta, 890 sounds right.
You're right about the park factor in baseball having an influence, but in Babe's case he was knocking them out of the park, his last being age 40 at Forbes Field in Pittsburg measured at approx 600'. Any other sluggers ever knock one out of the park, age 40+?
Just askin'...the way it was...Comment
