  • George Carlin on Muhammad Ali Protesting Vietnam

I thought the boxing history section was the right place to drop this because it's obviously an old clip filmed when The Greatest was still an active fighter and subject of Ali and Vietnam was more topical than it is now. Short but sweet, made me LOL!

Poor Carlin probably can't even do half of his bits these days.

      - - George was never funny, but he tapped into the smarmy vacuous intellectual market for a tortured existence.

Been deader'n Jean Harlow for quite some time now.

Being dead makes it double tough for him.

George was one of the funniest men ever, as evinced by post #3 in this thread.

He made me laugh and I'm neither a vacuous intellectual nor tortured by my existence.

Life ain't perfect, but if you can laugh at the imperfections, you can put up with them.

Let me put it this way, in Queensbree I have found the perfect reverse barometer. You can't go wrong in going the opposite way to whatever he recommends. Bear in mind that he is a creature who claims:

                1 Cassius Clay Couldn't fight
                2 Larry Holmes was a tub-of-lard scrub
3 George Carlin was not funny
4 The Klits were the greatest boxers ever

These are only four recent goofy opinions by Dumbo, at which he specializes.

Dunning-Kruger effect. You see it a lot at this place.

                    - -When Social Science Alchemy comes to boxing, the result is always a miserable comedy of monkey theory.
