Post 2000 to the present. Boxing is a dying sport and it's corpse gets more putrid by the year. The talent levels are literally hot garbage.

The problem with arguing for Tyson Fury as an ATG is that the same people who suggest this are the same ones who slammed his most prominent opponents (Wlad, Wilder) as "shot, over the hill" and an "amateur basketball player who can punch a bit." The rest of Fury's HW legacy is what? How much longer is he going to fight? He better absolutely demolish Whyte or his ATG standing is going to plummet.

              - - Well, grrrrrrr.

Bolded function not working properly, so *** shall suffice to show Wlad beat them, sometimes twice, and usually by KO.

Yup. Wlad, like all champs, could only dine on what was being served. But holy cow, what an abysmal era 2006 was representative of!!!!! Awful times. Helped the UFC get a foothold among US teens and 20-somethings of the era, turning to something interesting even if it meant suffering through long stretches of doggie style & teabagging.

Think of everything you ever expected from a President of the United States and then look at Donald Trump.

Think of everything you expect from the HW Champion of the World, both in and out the ring, and then look at Tyson Fury.

We are at the bottom, but both the USA and Prize Fighting will be back, you'll see.

I mean you ain’t wrong, my only argument is at least Fury has a rival. So they sorta bring the best out of eachother. People have already forgot, but Wilder was wobbling around on shakey legs for about 6 rounds and still swinging. So for me its not even about ability, Wilder gets a 2/10 for ability. Its more so that Wilder tests Fury because they don’t like eachother and that on its own sort of raises the bar a bit, since effort is often an overlooked attribute. When I think of Wlad actual reign, most of his oponents didn’t even believe they could win. And the ones that did knocked him out cold.

Ability is as Ability does. Boxing is not a martial art discipline, it is a fight sport where you do whatever it takes to win so long as you don't cheat outside of the rules. Huge distinction there, particularly when discussing some imaginary casim between Ability and Results. Ruminate on this for me.
