    Ya could look it up!
I don't need to look it up. Larry was 48-0 having ducked no one. He lost 2 very disputable decisions to Spinks and retired. What happened after that is not the Larry we are speaking of in this thread anymore than we are talking about a prime version of Ali

And it should be noted that Burns was Canadian. Further it should be noted that his bout with Johnson took place in as far away as possible location from the US.

and he was desperate for competition; in Australia he defended against Bill Squires three times simply because there just weren't any other fights to be made.

But yea, it's unlikely Burns is allowed to make that fight back in North America (USA or Canada).

          - - Tubbsy Lar was 48-0 after having beat Ali who had retired after beating Spinks and hardly the Ali of yore.

Moreover, Ali never got clowned and knocked down vs Butterbean in his last fight.

Nor did Ali ever drop Rocky's jock on his big toe like Lar did.

True that Lar gots Marvis that Ali don't got, and that's all he gots

It wasn't a knockdown. That would have required a landed punch.

52 year old Larry's legs were done after 9-1/2 rounds and he tripped over his own feet going backwards.

              - - Sweetie, Bean was a 4round gate attraction making more than Lar who grew jealous, thus the challenge.

Left hook bounced unimpeded off the shoulder into Lar neck and down he goes. Shaky upon rising, he ignores the ref instructions to ride the ropes away from him to the opposite corner, a clear TKO or DQ depending on 90% of the refs.

Your boy dodged the ultimate infamy because had that been Bean down with the same shot, 99.99% fact ref TKOs Bean.

Be happy Lar survived so you can look schoolboyish on a boxing forum.

You must have been blinding drunk when you saw this. It's very clear there was no clean punch landed and Holmes tripped over his own feet.

I would say a punch did land but it seems to have been blocked or bounced off Holmes' shoulder.

Holmes in attempting to avoid the punch goes down but it's more than a 'trip' - it looks as though he loses his equilibrium because of exhaustion. I would call it more of an exhausted stumble than a trip, which I believe in connection to the half ass punch makes it a KD.

                  Never close to a TKO.
