Nothing you have written means a thing and has nothing to do with the topic. What's next, Luther McCarty was better than Holmes?
    - - We can never know because his history shows Lar would never fight McCarty for his first 12 years.

Clifford seldom weighs in here. I've never seen his rankings though I posted a link to his Ring compilation study of historical rankings that most here ignored including U.

Subject matter was beyond U intellectual grasp.

McCarty said he'd never fight a negro, so we know he'd hide from Holmes.

And Cliff has posted here plenty. You can easily find his rankings if you stopped being lazy.

You're about as intellectual as play doh.

And you're still off topic, whino.

I also think Tubbs could be his toughest fight. There was a lot of talent during g this era, just not any consistency due to the bad habits of many of the fighters.

As usual, Holmes is in the top half of the list. That is about where he naturally belongs--in the middle of any list, that is. Fine fighter, but a sunken chest. Covid ruined Easton for business. I hear Holmes is down to robbing his own jukeboxes.

            - - My dear child, U never had a topic.

I'm not interested in Clifford's rankings any more than I'm interested in yours. Two brain cells would quadruple U IQ, but U always been low hanging fruit comparison.

What do Luck, Jeffries, and Dempsey all have in common?

They ALL fought black fighters, Jeffries being most preeminent with near 30% of his career vs black fighters.

And when they held a title, they aped the prevailing sentiment of the day that they would not fight a black fighter in a title fight.

Jeffries fudged with a nontitle 4 rd bout with Hank Griffen whom he as a novice had previously KOed in extended rounds.

To Wit: Griffin went down from a push in the first round and was knocked down twice by clean punches in the second. From then on he was in survival mode to claim the $100 forfeit. One report, prior to the start of the bout, described Griffin looking like a "famine sufferer". Attendance: 5, 000

Dempsey as our #1 Dempsey fan Teensy showed us, was willing to fight Wills through most of his reign, but the fight fell through because of politics of the day innumerable times that probably cost Jack a princely sum of $$$ trying to make that fight whilst Kearns had a civil lien on his bank account.

McCarty manager already accepted the uncertain JJohnson challenge as I proved with no guarantee Jack would be allowed back in the US to fight Luck.

What grade U drop out of school?

Or was U keister kicked out of school?

You never proved anything except that you're an imbecile. The 3 fighters you named refused to fight black fighters as champion. That is a FACT. do you know how I know? Because they never did. You call it what you want, I'll call it what I want.

And stop lying about McCarty. There was no contract or even formal discussions. Only his manager talking out his blow hole.

You drinking the gin or vodka today?

Holmes beats them all, a collection of non-champion "Title Claimants" who were no better that the contenders left available who Holmes did beat. This is the epitome of the disconnect between earned lineage and alphabet soup corruption. These were all qualified contenders of course, but none can rightfully be called champion with a straight face any more than could WAA champ Monty Masters. Of course Holmes did indeed meet and beat Ali, Weaver and Witherspoon, the latter two before their respective tenures as WBA beltholders. Not to be outdone, history informs that the WBC belt was eventually discarded by the one & only world champion Holmes as he then took up with the fledgling IBF to legitimize their belt, while proving the importance of the so-called "Title Sanctioning Bodies" and their cheap title belts. The addition of Tate, Dokes and Coetzee, as well as the acquisition of the WBA title would have been nice, but those things wouldn't have moved the needle any regarding Larry Holmes greatness or the iron clad legitimacy of his claim to being world champion.

                    - - U blow hole giving U da Vapors again is it?

Jeff as the Lineal champ the Lineal boys all crow about fought JJohnson. Jack moved heavens and hells bells trying to fight Wills to no avail, exacerbated when the political smoke cleared and Rickard held an eliminator to fight Jack, Wills turned Rickard down and off course lost his very next bout as did Jack, but Jack KOed Sharkey next, the guy who whooped Wills, whereas Wills gets KOed on his next bout by the guy Rickard dropped from the Dempsey elimination tourney.

Shame that, but certainly not on Harry or Jack, so all shame be on U distorting history like Teensy specializes in. U his disciple now?

You're a fool, seriously. Jeffries could have fought Johnson in 1904 while he was champion but refused.

Dempsey could have fought Wills in 1922, but instead fought inferior competition. Neither of them ever fought a black man as champion, and it's not because they weren't the best contenders at the time. So keep making things up...it's your m.o.
