      - - The beat up Horn ducked the Manny rematch, so no nemesis.

The third fight was the only one where I thought Marquez won 8-4. 1 and 2 could have gone either way.

           That's fair.

I'll give you the narrative as concisely as I can manage

Harry's got some pretty damn absurdly long win streaks in his resume worth taking a look at on the Boxrec

He jumped weights a bit and most of his losses are extremely understandable. For example his first loss. He had less than 20 fights, he fought a dude with 100 victories and lost a decision to him.

So while Harry has some losses by the time he's fighting Marciano he's seen as a very strong candidate for the next champion and his losses are seen as him having pushed himself, especially since he avenges them. Marciano's 0 was seen as Marciano having fought easier competition for most of his career.

Rocky KO's Harry pretty easily, he's not even a major clip or nothing. Pretty sure he's the triple left hook KO but they might be Rex

Don ****ell is a British chap who did quite well at the lower weights himself. He too picked up some losses along the way but found himself at HW doing very well by the time Rocky's stomping the division.

Rocky KO'd ****ell less easily but KO'd him good nonetheless.

So Rock moves on to the fights folk talk about and these guys move on to one another.

Don had blown up to HW by way of same fattening disease and looked soft and pudgy at HW. Harry just did not believe Don could beat him. Harry thought Harry was a much finer boxer and Harry learned very little from Marciano. ****ell thought he was too tough and resistant for Harry, he got some brashness post Marciano because he took his beating well.

You already know they fought x3 and Harry wins 0

Harry could not believe he could not beat this slow fat Brit

Like Wilder-Fury it just goes downhill from the first result and meetings get progressively worse for Harry. Had Harry left their first fight, SD, alone folks would probably be more forgiving and take that "it's so close it could go either" mindset but he did not. He didn't believe Don was better so they fought the second and Don made a clear points win of it. The 3rd fight saw Harry quit on his stool and finally accept he would never ever beat Don ****ell.

Same. Marquez was a clear winner in the 3rd though. 9-3/8-4. Pac had no case at all for that one. Can't understand how some people debate this. Diehard fans I guess. Nash out.

              - - I understand fully why folks like you have to tout BALCO Juan. Shared inferiority complexes combined with more than a few touches of sissyboy syndrome ensures BALCO Juan a modest fan base perpetually crying out in soprano.

I expected Marquez to get killed in that fight, but he put on a boxing clinic.

You are nearing the Schulberg effect. It may have set your views in concrete.
