      It's not a greatest fighters list. It's a study of Ring's rankings, carved into groupings, with points assessed on where opposition was ranked prior to a fight. In some cases, it means guys finish ahead of fighters they were better than (Sanchez behind Gomez, Barrera behind Hamed, McCallum behind Curry) but what I was trying to capture was performance in context of the moment. Even if it doesn't work for everyone, there are a lot of cool details throughout the study you may enjoy.

        - - Well, Greb played out like I suspected as will Tunney and Dempsey being that as the earliest rankings, they were not ranked previously like the rest of modern fighters in full careers.

        Gonna personally compile the fighters for side by side numbers evaluation while ignoring the extraneous used to get these numbers that thus far seem splatter paint art to me.
