Personally, I believe Monroe Brooks would whip Crawford. Crawford never faced a Duran, and with his mentality, never will. Crawford is on pace to be forgotten as soon as he retires. Can't stand boxers who like to talk but not fight the best and way over appraise themselves. Hate Crawford. Duran would tear him a brand new
    ăsshole, to almost everyone's delight.

Duran was so unprofessional throughout his career, even when he’s young enough to not be fat, he’s still sometimes untrained and unprepared, often hungover even. Its in his big fights that he really Shines. So that being said, if he’s shining the night he fights Any of these guys, he's got a chance. By this I mean if he has a point to prove and his pride is involved. For example he hated arrogant americans because of how the average soldier treated his people. They used to play the knockout game on drunken soldiers as kids. So when he fought Leonard he pretty much went in to fight to the death.

regardless of all that though, Robinsons probably the only one that surely beats Duran even on his best night. Robinson has a similar skill set but a size advantage and an iron chin. And an experience advantage coming from a past era(meaning he fought a lot more) Durans brawling style wouldn’t be so dominating because there were a lot of guys like that, not as talented but certainly as tough or even tougher. Lots of those guys would go the distance because they are impossible to knock out.

I’d take Hearns over him on average as well. He pretty much has to bum rush him like he did Leonard and attack with the might of all the Panamanians combined. Theres that chance Hearns jaw gets caught in the fury.

but not that short, about 7 fights or so

Pac would have his hands absolutely full at a lower weight facing JCC, in a fight up for grabs.
terrible matchup for Pacquiao, Duran knocks him out cold.

Duran hammers mayweather to the canvas as well. This is a different caliber of fighter. Mayweather holds a psychological advantage over 90 percent of the ******* around today. The only 2 of note in his welterweight run that didn’t respect him was pac and Maidana.

              - - How many lefties Duran face in his first 70 fights?

Manny dominated his natural division far longer than Duran who ate himself out of welter much like Toney did all his divisions.

Well I guess Get Smart won't be getting syndicated in China anytime soon. Forgot how wonderfully culturally bigoted sixties TV could be.

                  Your short list:

Feel like Hearns was best, peaking at 154 . . . Not sure the Hearns who fought Leonard is able to keep Montréal Duran off him.
I think Hearns is the best Junior Middleweight of all time.

And you could be right. Of course, if Jackson even touches his chin...

Yes, I know. Hearns did have the weakest chin out of the 4 kings relative to size; a bit of a glass canon in that sense. Jackson definitely was capable of KO’ing Hearns, though I do think Hearns had the skills to both avoid getting hit cleanly long enough to set up his own knockout shot for Jackson.
