Seems you're the one having a wet dream since we know you couldn't win a fight on a kindergarten playground let alone against a world class fighter. I'm just explaining the life of Hopkins and how it could make a decent movie along the lines of what Soul Survivor was talking about.

      - - No doubt all the soft lads would flock together for the debut with you making the travel arrangements. Make it so.

What's the skinny on Hopkins life that would make a great movie?

To his credit I don't remember any real controversy other than the usual boxing drama, e.g. scantioning bodies, law suits, and trash talk.

I did just the other day hear John Oliver refer to Mayweather Jr. as a 'Woman battering human landfill, and a fairly good boxer.' His story might make gripping drama. They'll just have to leave out the boxing parts so the movie doesn't drag.

Probably will happen one day, when they are done doing the 9998th Ali docu series.

Na he had no crossover appeal into the world of sport. HBO won't put that kind of money into a Hopkins docudrama (a documentary yes they probably own enough film of him already) and there doesn't seem enough there for a feature film.

                - - I'm thinkin' "The Heart & FAIL of a Great Fighter" Doc where they cull select footage from his wins over undefeated Glen Johnson and Tito to enhance the scale of Poopy's invicincibilty before cutting to him bursting into schoolgrrl tears as he quits Allen, Calzaghe, Jones Jr, Dawson, and Joe Smith Jr while trying to DQ them via the ref.

I think you're focusing more on the boxing part more than the entire story of his life. The point is it could be made into a decent movie in my opinion. I never found Hopkins a particularly exciting fighter, but I do admire the adversity he overcame in life to get to where he is now. I didn't particularly like Primo Carnera's style either, but I'm a fan of "The harder they fall". If not Hopkins what about Kasim Ouma or the Charlo Brothers? My point is there are plenty of fighters who's lives would make an interesting movie, yet as Soul Survivor said there aren't many about black boxers that have been made in a positive light.

Why don't you get back to explaining the felony charges and prison term you feel Briggs should have received for making a tiny wave the made poor Wlad fall of his paddle board?

Isn't the Hartio Alger story from rags to riches pretty much all the Duran movie was?

Not sure how many times you can tell the same story and get box-office.

I think Soul Survivor was arguing that Black fighters are ignored unless their story is negative because the system is racist. Maybe I misunderstood but I don't see Hoppkins being the answer to that problem.

Is there anything else about him other than his unnatural longevity that would excite an audience?

Sorry I don't recognize the other two.
