I personally don't see anything wrong with Armstrongs style and think he would be just fine with his style today. He didn't lead with his head most of the time but had it in perpetual motion when not burying it in a fighters chest or on their should to fight inside. He would certainly get warning as that style lends itself to being a danger for accidental butts though.
