Well if other Hollywood biopics are any indication, the producers and director might leave out most of the negative stuff and look to make Pep look good. Wasn't there a Duran movie not too long ago? And why so many fouls in the Pep-Saddler rematches? Was the ref out to lunch?

The movie is set in 1965 when he was broke and needed to make a comeback to make money. Was back living with his parents on McKinley St. in Hartford.

You know it, always lurking I was home for a few days and spent time on the set. Pretty cool to see how they actually film movie in person and all that goes into it. This is going to be BIG for Hartford, definitely. James Madio is a really great guy, he looks like Willie, he's got the moves down and he is DEFINITELY passionate about doing a good job for Willie. As an interesting side note to the movie, the world really is SMALL, the woman who plays Willie's mother is a local actress and she was on the set with her son and the kid, he's about 40 now, comes up to me and asks if I remember him. Apparently, when I first turned pro he was at the shows and was put in charge with another kid of running the globes to and from the dressing rooms. Says he has photos that he will send of him and I together in the dressing room back then, 1988-1989.
