Because with 5 stoppages in 12 fights above 130, Floyd hasn't proven himself to be a big puncher at higher weights. Of course after taking 10 rounds to stop iron jawed Hatton, people actually have him stopping Cotto now . Though Floyd is a much better fighter than Phillips, power is a different story.

I had to come back to this thread, I remember reading it back in the day. No way does Kostya struggle with Floyd.

        I don't know. I think it's a very difficult style for Tszyu

          Mayweather with a easy decision.

What Zab did to tszyu in round 1 is what Floyd would do to tszyu for 12 rounds.

            - - TBE TUE would duck Kostya like he did Zab initially. When he finally fought Zab, he Crack Uncle Roger fought with Steele that started a ring riot that's an automatic DQ in most every boxing jurisdiction, the sole exception being Vegas where TBE TUE fought the tail end of 40% of his fights by the end his TBA career. Haymon used that to make Deyonce another TBA fraud.

IMO what makes the fight intriguing is that it is held @140 pounds. Some triangle fuls will no doubt bring up the relative opponent (Zab Judah) as a reason why Zoo is a live dog... And though I despise triangle theory, even a broken clock is correct twice a day, as they say... Here is the thing: If we assume that Zoo was able to time Zab, who was very quick, at his absolute best, and... if we further assume that Zoo did not get lucky and catch Judah early before he warmed up, it tells us that it is possible Zoo could present problems for Floyd.

Before I weigh in on this, lets be careful... The Hatton fight does not tell us much here. Ricky, still at his best away from the clutches of his dad and others who had him adapt the dry hump, to preserve the goose egg, was a physical fighter, and he fought Zoo magnificently. He beat Zoo in a different way than Mayweather could, or would. With that said, Zoo could present problems similar to how Judah early on, flumoxed Floyd for a few rounds. Can he maintain this advantage? can he control the timing, the ring positioning? Can he hit Floyd without being countered? I don't think so.

Looking back on it Hatton Vs Gatti, and Tszyu Vs Mayweather Jr. probably would have been more entertaining fights then what we got in real life. I think Tszyu Vs Mayweather Jr. would have been a helluva fight. Some how, some way I see Mayweather Jr. coming out on top in a decision, but man if that one punch just lands on the right spot at the right time Kostya Tszyu may have won the fight. It is a good fantasy match up. All we can do is wonder

I only comment on interesting matchups. Anything with Mayweather in it is already a bore.

Floyd was on the verge of stopping Judah when the ball bag shot came.

Prime KT vs Prime Floyd @ 140.
Personally, I 'd go with Floyd.
He is too versatile, can adapt to any style, particularly on the inside which is KT's weakness, even though the whole fight will be fought at a distance, but I see Floyd's defence being unbreakable.
KT is prob a fighter Floyd would duck because prime for prime this is actually a tossup. KT really has no flaws, he’s a bit slower than Floyd but his game is on point in just about every category. I would probably pick Floyd by SD or UD if gun is aimed at my head, but KT getting the nod wouldn’t surprise me by any stretch.
