Amateurs do not beat pros.

It is a different system... Like college football. No college team stays together long enough to gain excellence the way great pro teams of the past have. The Ammy system relies on simplicity: hit with the tip of the glove as many times per a round as one can... All the marks of the professional are lacking: Feeling an opponent out, taking the fight into the later rounds,etc. In the heavyweight division the Eastern Euro guys fight like amatuers.
