Lewis and others conveniently ducked Sanders under the Apartheid boycott of South Africa in spite of Sanders fighting as a popular fighter in black provinces. Because of that inconvenience that Sanders became a multi-sport star, making his $$$ in Rugby and Pro Golf. Sanders also a dangerous early round KO artist already a respected legend in the day of my first boxing forum, the now defunct AOL.

The first of the Wlad KD's was initiated by a leaping head butt followed by a straight left, his KO punch. If U understood the dilemma of Lefties historically in boxing, something that seems beyond U limited capacity, the lefty stance causes all manner of unintentional head butts and foot tangles that kept them out of traditional boxing because noone would fight them...NOONE!!!

They dominate the titles held today out of proportion to their limited population base. Young Clay needed extra time and illegal smelling salts bought by Dundee to see out little LH Henry Cooper's fatal left hook not even needing a head butt.

What U doing on a boxing history forum if U ain't even watched the fights?
Lewis ducked Sanders? Sanders wasn't really considered much to duck, and get your timelines straight. Sanders was inconsistant at best losing to fighters like Rahman. Hardly a juggernaught. Oh of course... here we go: qualify the fight... the go to strategy for the uninformed. Yes, every Vlad KO was some illegal process! his water was poisoned with Purity, Sanders head butted him... brewster pissed in his cornflakes. And its come to this... Poor Vlad had to fight a southpaw who no one will fight. Seriously?

Your an idiot if you seriously believe anything you just posted.

Fury is a POS fighter. Completely unimpressed by this stumbling mess. Fury is the only heavyweight I openly laugh at. This is considered good nowadays? Very low standards.

I couldn't agree more - but the SOB is effective.

Against very flawed fighters. Wlad was always a tentative walking statue while Wilder never learned the fundamentals of boxing. Let’s see him beat someone who can fight. Fury is the only fighter I openly laugh at.

I may be way off on this, but what about Bowe? At least a motivated Bowe.

Fury's size gives him an advantage over anyone who tries to fight him at range; Wlad, Wilder both need distance for their style to work so they didnt beat him. Anyone who wants to be on the outside, his reach and movement gives them an advantage. So the way to beat him is either: have more reach or beat him on the inside. Holyfield and Marciano have both been mentioned and can fight on the inside, I think Bowe fits the bill.

This assumes though that the ref doesnt let Fury just hold the whole fight. If Fury is allowed to grab, wrestle, and hold on to someone on the inside he becomes very difficult to beat

It is sad that you have to add 'a motivated Bowe' to the post -- a motivated Bowe could stay with damn near any HW Champion and beat most of them. An exciting rise the the top and a very short stay there.

The Holyfield I Bowe would take Fury apart in four to six rounds; it would be two big men with one of them a complete fighter.

Never lead with size, weight, reach when you talk about heavyweights. These are the last things to consider. BIt’s all about determination, style, speed and skill.

                      - -Fury fights fine inside. This forum always been blind to facts re non Americans. Breath of fresh air coming up, but I really don't like the guy anymore since he ducked the Wlad rematch and now AJ twice.

He'd turn Big Dummy Bowe inside out before they ever stepped into the ring. Had good reason to duck Wlad and AJ, but Big Dummy makes a most excellent slow roast as his light in the loafers overall comp proves.
