            - -Nobody on AOL ever talked about it, and it was such a pathetic tourney that the only decent fight was post 911 Tito/Poopsy who for the first time in his pitiable DKing orchestrated career finally got some recognition before blowing it all vs Roy/SuperJoe. Then Oscar who was rolling in dough back then stepped in to make him a multimillionaire.

Actually it was talked about on AOL. I remember it well. Perhaps you were just blackout drunk? Either way, there were tons of other sites that reported on it. Ignorance may be bliss, but it's no excuse.

              • Not only is Duran the greatest fighter still alive today, he is the greatest period! But the biased American sports world and media won't give Duran his just dues because of the Duran-SRL 2 debacle that they continue to harp on about, ad nauseum, to this very day.

                    • He is certainly up there but for me I can see SRL as the best in my lifetime and still around, so he shades it. To beat the other 3 Kings and some iother top fighters, Olympic gold, multi world titles across various weights, and to be fair his career was curtailed by injury. So factor that in and he is no1 in my book, Duran in the same bracket but clearly more durable and fought more often but he had some dubious losses to lower calibre fighters... Hagler beat all comers for years, hearns was knocking people out for belts at 40lbs above his best weight. Floyd is in the argument, Pacquiao too. Sweet pea, Jones jnr and Holyfield all deserve a mention and currently you have Canelo but he has a bit of controversy regarding PEDs that taint his record.
