    Marvin Hagler vs Jake Lamota

I believe this would be a close, hard, and very close fight.

    Any thoughts?

Hagler would overpower him and win a solid UD.

Lamotta is only Durans size with only half the skill and a better chin (yes that sounds weird).

UD for Hagler based on his superior boxing skills. Lamotta was so strong and had an iron chin so I don't see a KO for Hagler.

I feel if Hagler were to go to war with Lamotta, I feel Lamotta would have a good chance and it would be a ****** move if Hagler were to do so.

Hagler could box beautifully behind his right jab, then switch to orthodox slipping, parrying and countering. Do he could brawl with the best of them. He was also a heavy puncher 52 ko's in 67 fights, but it's highly unlikely that he would dent Lamotta's chin.

Lamotta is widely considered to have the best chin boxing, but people always seem to just think he was a complete face first fighter. He was strong, aggressive but clever at slipping and rolling away from punchers. I think it's virtually fact there wound't be a KO in this fight.

And I feel if Hagler stuck to his boxing and used his brain he can beat Lamotta on a UD. Do I dout it would be all one way as Lamotta has plenty of moments in the fight. You could say it would be similar to Hagler's fight with Bennie Briscoe, do Lamotta is more skilled and a better pressure fighter than Briscoe was.

Yet he'd still come in the ring 170 in his prime.

hagler wins by a clear decision. lamotta was a tough guy and one hell of a fighter but hagler is just a allround superior fighter.

Too much Fight night for you.

Hagler batters him with a UD or TKO similar to Robinson's

Lamotta was a big Middle and had trouble making 160lbs.

But I'd agree Hagler wins a UD.

LaMotta was stronger I think, the only one who could match him with strength at middleweight was **** Tiger.

Hagler's overall game would likely be too much for LaMotta to overcome however, later on in his career Hagler became very adept at picking apart come forward pressure fighters although Roldan with his awkwardness gave him a lot of trouble.

LaMotta would present many of the same problems stylistically except he had a better chin than the somewhat chinny Roldan.

he cut 15 lbs in one night? BS, thats hard enough to do even on second day weight in.

Duran came in pretty heavy himself.
