I think he fought a great variety of opposition.

Wins over Ray Robinson, Marcel Cerdan, Fritzie Zivic, Holman Williams, Jose Basora, Laurent Dauthuille, Bob Murphy, Bob Satterfield, Tony Janiro, Bert Lytell, Tiberio Mitri, Gene Hairston, Robert Villemain, Joey DeJohn, George Costner, Tommy Bell, Jackie Wilson, Tommy Yarosz, Walter Woods, George Kochan, Jimmy Edgar, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by Robinson taking guesses. He executed a successful gameplan of conserving his energy in the early rounds to take out a drained LaMotta in the late rounds.

Can't see any size advantages other than Haglers enormous reach, which in effect would give Hagler a UD.. Chin & stamina wise, there's little to choose..
