Funny that Sharkey (Tom) passed out instantly when Fitz hit him with his famed 'shift punch' low.
They say he fainted dead away.
But Sharkry (Jack) chats with the ref - takes a viscous hook to the head and then his balls hurt.
OK you win.Last edited by Willie Pep 229; 05-07-2022, 07:59 PM.Comment

OK it must be me - mine hurt right off.

He hit the man low. I don't know how his balls felt. I do know that there is a delayed reaction in the pain. It's not that you don't feel it at all right away, which is why he flinched big time and looked at the ref. It's that the pain comes on more intensely soon after that. I shouldn't have to mention this again. Maybe you've never been hit in the balls...?
Again, I don't know how he felt and that was never my contention regarding the issue. Houdinini kept saying the ref didn't state the hit was low. Obviously, we see now that it's false. The ref did admit Dempsey hit low. What you guys want to do with that in your Dempsey PJ's and capes and cowls, go for it!Comment

Why are you trying to argue with me about how this mans balls felt? Damn. Do you want to defend Dempsey from every single thing he did wrong?

That's not what the ref said. Go dig him up and call him a liar, then fetch us that Dempsey/Wills offer from 2001 while you're at it, wino.Comment

Na! Six doctors examined Tom Sharkey's balls - three chosen by Fitz, three chosen Sharkey's people.
Day after the fight one San Francisco newspaper owner, who lost big money on Fitz accused Wyatt Earp of being a cheat (which he often was) in print, which started the 'cheat' story, but after the independent doctors review, Earp gave the purse check to Sharkey and the newspaper retracted its statement and publicly apologized to Earp. (For fear of suit.) Beyond the Ring, Jeffrey Sammons.Comment

Of course when your logic is exposed as nonsense I suddenly become your target, and I have an obsession with Dempsey while you're just this nice guy trying hard to discover the truth.
Such a sad state of affairs this is, and all my fault, but it's OK magic balls with time-release pain saves the day. Thank God!
