I have always been convinced that had Floyd stayed at lightheavy he would have been talked about among the all time greats. His chin wouldn't have been near the question mark it was at heavy.

Thanks for the info on the Patterson bio. Right now I am reading Larry Holmes autobiography, but when Im done I will look for a copy of Floyds book.

Was a helluva fighter. Successful but not really built for heavyweight in my opinion.. Patterson vs Holyfield at 190? What are fight that would have been.

Patterson would be in a terrible way against Holyfield. He can't take his punch and he can't hurt him. If the likes of Johansson can get the job done Holy certainly can at heavy, cruiser or the old cruiser limit.

I personally think Patterson would have been an ATG if he had stayed at light-heavy; but, of course, the real money was at heavyweight.

Evander went life and death against an underrated Qawi. I'm not saying Patterson wins, but I am saying Patterson is better than Qawi.

I don't think Qawi is underrated. He was a top tier all-time LHW. He was on the down slope when fighting Holyfield the first time and of course even more so for the return.

Yes I tend to agree that Patterson would do better than Qawi did as well. Technically there's an ocean between them. Chinwise it's the other way around with Qawi having the advantage.
