          According to some guy named Frank LOTIERZO (whoever he might be) claims that a 1976 Foreman-Holmes fight was proposed but that Don King refused the offer believing Holmes was not yet ready for Foreman.

            1976 Holmes was not ready for Foreman. By that time Larry had only 20 odd bouts and very poor opposition.

                      I think punchers capture the romantic yearnings of boxing fans... Even 90 year old men would feel a stiffie when Bo Derrick was on the boardwalk, and even the most hard boiled, logically minded boxing fan, often has a soft spot /hard spot (lol) for a pure puncher.

                      Young beat Foreman and made it look easy. Once you got past the big punch Foreman was limited.
