Horribly. He'd get charged for sexual assault... these days that kinda violence is not considered Boxing.


In all seriousness, that is a difficult question to answer. Based on talent, and his ability to overcome the obstacles that were facing him on his way to the zenith of Boxing, it's pretty obvious that he'd adapt well. That's not to say he'd become a 220 lb. version of Lomachenko, but you can't rule out that he'd have that kind of success, either.

Dempsey was crude. But a lot of his short-comings were ones that could be pretty easily corrected. Conversely, while the post-Willie Pep world of Boxing has advanced quite a bit, it's erroneous to think that's been universal and complete. Watch Deontay Wilder, and tell me I am wrong.
