Who Hit Harder Marciano Or Tyson?

did you read what I was responding to? A win is a win, but people are downplaying Tysons win over Spinks and Holmes, and forgetting about Marciano's half assed wins.

Tyson win over HOLMES? Are you kidding? Holmes was old, fat and was scared of Tyson. He wasn't even a shadow of his former self. A young Holmes takes Tyson to school.

Tyson lunged into his punches far more than Marciano did, Marciano while sometimes lunged into his, most of the time it was hip punches up close.

The reason Tyson doesn't "kill guys" is because of the gloves, Marciano used smaller leather gloves, Tyson Used Impact dulling larger gloves. Tyson frequently put guys to sleep with one punch, Marciano continuously pounded on his opponent's so when they dropped they were to exhausted to get up eventually.

Other fighter's of Marciano's time said he wasn't the hardest hitter. One boxer (forget his name) also said "Patterson" hit harder. For a comparison, from the words of Cus d' amato Tyson hit much harder than Patterson.

If it's one thing that described Marciano, It's over rated.

some of tyson opponents he fought before he won the title such as ferguson,ribalta,tillis and green were able to stand up to tysons power . Tyson never knocked out these guys . Also a lot of the guys tyson knocked he never put them to sleep like razor ruddock, earnie shavers or tommy morrison did.

The past prime slugging Tyson destroyed Savarese in 1 round, it took Foreman 12 to win on a decision ( a biased decision to). So you can't make comparisons like that.

Besides past his prime or not, Tysons the only guy that put Holmes on his ass..something shaver's couldn't do.

tysons power is very difficult to judge because some of his opponents such as smith, biggs, holmes, ferguson, tillis, nielsen, holyfield say tyson wasent the hardest puncher but on the other hand you have bruno,tucker,spinks,danny williams, lou saverses, stewart,tubbs, francis,botha,mcbride and many of tysons sparring partners who say tyson hit like a truck.

Shavers vs Holmes seems more like a flukey right that sends holmes to the canvas.

Have you even seen those fights? Those guys all had to tie Tyson up to go the distance with him. The facts are that they were tougher defensive fighters, not that they stood up to him. LOL Rebalta had a damn good chin, I give him props.

LOL You've got to be kidding!!! Tyson knocked out plenty of guys that didn't get up. Have you ever seen any of those guys knock anyone out as nasty as Marvis Frazier was knocked out? His legs even went into uncontrolled shifting when Cortez moved him. Case in point.
