I know you didn't mention in this post, but you have in others. But you do know that Floyd Patterson wasn't a ranked heavyweight during Marciano's reign and he was just coming up from lightheavy right?

Tyson at a very young age when your power is limited to most he muscled his way into the rankings than into the youngest heavyweight champion in the history of boxing. Marciano became a heavyweight when he was at the right age, already mature with his power. Had Tyson started around the same time as Marciano but with the mental status of what he had in the 80's Tyson would have been hitting twice as hard as he did. He was sending guys who weighed in at 10 to 15 to 20 to even 40 pounds heavier than him into the air with one punch. A left hook of Tyson would have sent any of Marciano opponents flying into the ropes for a KO are you insane pal? Every light heavyweight that Marciano gave a chance to either went the distance or got far enough.

Every light heavyweight, (excluding post prison Tyson) he did face went down early and brutally. In all comparison, we didn't get to see Rocky stay long enough for every one to witness his fall because he was smarter than that. There were no legit heavyweights that Rocky was knocking on and he may have very well been the only heavyweight champion or even contender of that era in the 50's.

Marciano is a brawler with limited defense movement and technique, Tyson is a brawler with incredible defense cut the ring down movement and one of the best techniques ever seen. Marciano would get crushed by Tyson as soon as the bell rings they would both meet up in the middle of the ring and Marciano would fold like a fat man on a lawn chair!

Anyone in their right mind would know that Tyson is a harder puncher. He was knocking down guys that were bigger than him and not only that they had age and skill, all at natural heavyweight size. Not to mention how much taller they were on the guy, Marciano would never get inside.

Tyson hits harder than Marciano and there is no such thing as soul power lol. Who in the hell comes up with those excuses? Mike Tyson is a much more powerful athlete get over it!
marciano was a very different fighter to tyson. marciano would take his time let the other guy get tired and start making mistakes than KO him.

your getting boring now! why would you try and put down other fighters just to make your boy look better than he was?

All of these attributes came with Mike and it is what generated his power in general, you can be 220 pounds and not hit as hard as another 220 pounder, there are always reasons for that and that is what I am mentioning with technique speed movement etc. Valuev can only dream about having the power of Tyson, for his size he is a complete joke when it comes to raw power, get out of here.
or yu can be 189lbs and hit harder than a 220 pounder!!!

as a side note: i'm told marciano actually founght at 200lb+ heavies in that time liked to get as light as possible for the weight in to prove they were fit

11 first round KO's total for Rocky, but what does that mean, Tye Fields has 24 first rd KO's, including 21 of his first 23 (the other two were 2nd rd KO's.) Difference being Tye Fields is a JOKE, 6'9 1/2" lumbering idiot, 39-1 (35 KO's) but against nobody. Don't count Walcott, but you want to count Tyson KOing an old light heavy in Michael Spinks, right?

^ lol have you ever used some Old boxing gloves? not only are they heavier but they are hardened from use since they didn't always give a fighter brand new gloves for a fight.

Marciano fought 3 Old light heavies, and didn't even knock them out in the first round.

did you read what I was responding to? A win is a win, but people are downplaying Tysons win over Spinks and Holmes, and forgetting about Marciano's half assed wins.

Let it go man. Quit using every single sentence you type to downplay Marciano. Getting kind of redundant.
