Look how these guys fight, they are all slow, a lot of them run out of steam, they are clumsy and leave their heads open 80% of the time. Thats my reasoning on why they were bums, I don't really care who they beat I just can't see how people can compare them to fighter's 60's+ who don't have these massive glaring weaknesses or all fight the same.

This goes for the HW division, I never liked the 40's and 50's, all bums IMO.
If that's your standpoint then you know nothing about the sport.

How so, it's not like I don't watch boxing? You do know that I created my opinion based off of OLD fight videos.

What am I not seeing? Name some fights off and I'll tell you If I have seen them.

I see his oposition clashing heads and dangling there with Marciano, yet they get called ATG's. How is that demonstrating skill? Marciano's power is extremely overrated to! Horse hair stuffed gloves and still it takes 12 rounds to beat down a bum of the month, how is that power?

People really need to rethink, especially when they are pitting rocky up against world class fighters like Mike Tyson.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Very good points. I knew Hawkins couldn't resist responding to that. LOL

Will I will back the man by saying the 40's and 50's arent the best of the sport. No, not all the fighters that fought in that time frame are bums, but is wasnt a "golden age" of the heavyweight divison.

No one said that it was a golden age. But to label everyone bums like he does is unwarranted and unknowledgable.

To rate Marciano as an ATG (better than Tyson LOL) because of his record and the fact that his big wins were over good old fighters, is unwarranted and unknowledgable.LOL

What are these jokes about "Marciano could waver the storm early rounds and slowly push Tyson back winning by late round TKO"

REALITY CHECK!: Marciano is 185 lbs 5'10 slow as mud..how on earth would he push Tyson back?

what about this : "Tyson always had trouble being pushed backwards, this could prove a huge disadvantage" At what point during his prime years was he ever pushed back, even by larger opponents? Let alone Marciano.

What about the question of how would Marciano fare being pushed backwards? Tyson is the bigger, stronger, faster and more aggressive fighter, he's also technically superior to Marciano! how can anyone think otherwise?? How can Marciano even be given even the slightest chance??

                  once again REALITY CHECK

If this fight were to happen during Tyson's prime years "86-89" It would be a disaster, Marciano's poor hand speed and crappy defense = first round KO probably by catching an uppercut during his "slow motion weave" or "head dangling" as I like to call it.

Incase you weren't aware, Tysons prime years extended through the Holyfield fights. LOL Well, at least that's what I've been told. Should I believe it? LOL There's no way in hell Marciano would have made it to the later rounds with Tyson.
