How is it a joke? I said, point blank, Tyson's speed is what defined his knockouts. Then I said for 'power' I think Marciano hit harder. How is that hard to understand? It means Tyson hit hard, yes but the speed at which he hit was much more instrumental.

Look at his later years, his power was seemigly diminished because his speed was gone.

why don't we argue something more serious like Marciano vs dempsey, in which case I'd pick dempsey.
Marciano arguably has better power than Tyson and certainly later on in the fight, he also has better stamina. Theres not much debate for a person to honestly say Tyson has more stamina.
Plus, Tyson would have an awkward time fighting Marciano. Tyson was not good at fighting in close, he preferred coming forward with mid-range assaults. In addition, fighting someone shorter would be very different for Mike who is use to punching up, especially with those wide hooks of his.

Trust me, it' s useless attempt. Despite what they say, most don't have much respect for the fighters that paved the way. These threads are a prime example.

Marciano threw one punch after another, no doubt. But he wasn't putting everything into those punches, it would be impossible for any man to do that for 15 rounds. Tyson didn't throw everything into every punch as well, but he threw more shots with power throughout a fight than Marciano did. That's why Marciano threw more. Tyson was a whole lot more selective in throwing his punches, Marciano wasted his.LOL You can bet Marciano couldn't pull off throwing all those punches against Tyson. At his best, Tyson was a master at knocking guys heads off when they threw punches back. That's why everyone grabbed and held. Marciano being unable to swarm Tyson, would have nothing to beat Tyson with.

Well I don't think I said Marciano put everything into his punches. However, he did not waste his shots. Just because they didn't land on the chin didn't mean they weren't effective. His punches destroyed LaStarza's arm and ruined him as a fighter. Marciano threw punches that collided with every part of your upperbody.

Just as Tyson liked to pressure, Marciano brought extreme pressure as well and he would have been right in Tyson's mug. So for you guys to say it would be a total massacre is totally unwarranted. Tyson hates a guy that brings the pressure right back to him, and thats something Marciano did in spades.

Yeah, I know Marcianos swarming style wasn't a total waste, but there's no way he could have pulled it off against Tyson. First round knock out if he tried.LOL

And exactly how do you know what it took to defeat Marciano?

How many fighters defeated him? And of those what styles did they use? Oh wait, we don't know do we?

However, we have seen Holyfield do a masterful job and know that Tyson doesn't like a guy to get right in his face and bring the pressure right back.

they all used the same style, it's called BAR BRAWLING. lol

how can you even be serious comparing Marciano to Holyfield. Marciano was one of the sloppiest and slowest fighter's to date. And why are you comparing an after- Prison Mike? Let's keep it to Mike with Rooney in his corner.

This thread is ridiculous though, this same topic has come up a countless number of times.
Repost this, because as always in these threads, it can be repeated.

                      Bar Brawling? Ooooooook. Anyway...

You do not read posts. You skim over and just assume you know what you're referring.

How can I compare? Holyfield pressured Tyson and got right in his face and took the fight inside.

WOW Hawk really? But wait theres more.

Marciano was a relentless pressure fighter who always came forward..and? Stayed right in your face.

                      WOW

                      Hence the comparison.
