That's 16 fighters, and maybe there are more, who already are closer to the top spot than Gans is. You see, 16 is a bigger number than 3.

Well, there's nothing irregular about either man's performance; not based on the footage, not based on their records. Gans and McGovern both behaved as normal. Gans had lost to lesser men. McGovern had beaten at least one better man.

The argument made for a fix wouldn't hold up in court. Hell, you'd be lucky for it to even suffice opening a case.

That's niether what the fans, ref and press thought...and they were there. And it held up enough that Chicago didn't hold another fight for 26 years. I wonder why they would do that if everything was on the up and up.

And no, McGovern never beat another fighter ad good as Gans. But I'd like to hear who you think that fighter might be.
