IBF junior welterweight champion Zab Judah has been on a roll lately. He has won his past five fights since dropping a technical decision to Joshua Clottey in August of 2008.

Former WBC and IBF light-welterweight champion Devon Alexander has begun training as he prepares to take on dangerous Argentinean Lucas Martin Matthysse on June 25th at The Family Arena in St. Louis in what he sees as his first step to reclaiming the 140lb title belts he once possessed.

Former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham told BoxingScene that they are set to begin their training camp for their June 25th fight with the hard Hitting Lucas Matthysse of Argentina. They will begin their camp today (May 1st) in Colorado Springs.

BoxingScene.com was informed that junior welterweight Lucas Matthysse (28-1, 26KOs) is scheduled to arrive in the United States in order to train in Oxnard, California with Pablo Sarmiento, the trainer of middleweight king Sergio Martinez. Mattyhsse is preparing for his fight with former IBF/WBC champion Devon Alexander (21-1, 13KOs), which is scheduled to take place on June 25 at the Family Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. HBO will televise the fight.

BoxingScene.com has been advised that the Devon Alexander-Lucas Matthysse "Redemption" fight is officially set. Devon Alexander's first step towards redemption will take place at The Family Arena which is located 20 miles from downtown St. Louis. This will be the former IBF/WBC junior welterweight champion's first fight since a technical decision loss to Tim Bradley in January. Alexander was unable to finish the fight after suffering multiple headbutts.

BoxingScene.com has been advised that former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander's next fight will indeed be a homecoming. Alexander will face Lucas Matthysse of Argentina in his hometown of St. Louis on June 25th in a fight televised by HBO

BoxingScene caught up with renown boxing agent Sampson Lewkowicz at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas where his fighter Michael Katsidis will face Robert Guerrero on Saturday evening on the televised undercard of the Erik Morales-Marcos Maidana main event. BoxingScene wanted to get Lewkowicz's opinion on his fighter Lucas Matthysse's (28-1) upcoming fight versus former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (21-1). The fight is set to take place on June 25th and will be televised on HBO. Alexander's hometown of St. Louis and Las Vegas are in the running to host the event.

Recently I had a very deep conversation with Paulie Malignaggi about his career, specifically his return to Las Vegas on the April 9th HBO pay per view show at the MGM Grand. The great thing about Malignaggi, besides being a colorful personality, is that he is a pure fan of the sport of boxing and can talk endlessly about his fellow brethren and other key aspects of the game.

It has been assumed that former WBC/IBF junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander "The Great" (21-1) will have his next fight staged in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. While St. Louis remains an option, BoxingScene.com has been advised that the outdoor arena at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada is also a serious candidate.

Kevin Cunningham, who trains and manages former unified junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander advised BoxingScene.com that Alexander has added Matt Brown to the team. Brown will serve as the team's strength and conditioning coach.
