Former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham told BoxingScene that they are set to begin their training camp for their June 25th fight with the hard Hitting Lucas Matthysse of Argentina. They will begin their camp today (May 1st) in Colorado Springs.
Cunningham told BoxingScene, " Team Alexander will arrive in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Sunday May 1st to begin training in the high altitude to prepare for Devon's June 25th showdown against power punching Lucas Matthysse."
Alexander is looking to bounce back from his January loss to Tim Bradley while Matthysse looks to build on his dominating TKO win over DeMarcus Corley.
