It has been assumed that former WBC/IBF junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander "The Great" (21-1) will have his next fight staged in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.  While St. Louis remains an option, BoxingScene.com has been advised that the outdoor arena at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada is also a serious candidate.

Alexander is a big draw in his hometown and nearly 10,000 fans showed up to support their local fighter is his last bout at home, which came against Andreas Kotelnik in August of last year. Alexander is scheduled to face Argentinian puncher Lucas Matthysse (28-1) on June 25th

Caesar's Palace has been out of the boxing business for the last few years but the venue has hosted many memorable bouts including Evander Holyfield-Riddick Bowe 2 and 3, Sugar Ray Leonard-Thomas Hearns 1 and 2, and Sugar Ray Leonard-Marvin Hagler, among others.
