Next week I will have copies of a book on boxing I wrote. the book is called, "PROFESSIONAL BOXING IN THE 1980'S. A LOOKBACK.' I wrote it my self. It took 6 months to do. I have a Cyberhome dvd recorder, 1600, and I am trying to record boxing, but it will not take certain brands of dvd discs, for exmple sony disc will not work, does anyone know a dvd disc that it will take ..........Does anyone have a cyberhome 1600 sold by kmart, I am losing boxing footage because I cannot get it to record, any help is apprecaiited, please post..thanks................

I just bought a DVD recorder DVR 1600 at kmart. Evertime I try to record something it says, insert recordable dvd disc, yet I am using a DVD plus R and it should work........anyone know why it won't work, please post, I am missing fights to record through such .......thanks..........

I self published a boxing book and still have not had any luck in acquiring any pictures. The book called Professional boxing an inside review of major bouts, it covers, Bowe/Golata I, Morrison/Mercer, Duran/Moore, Byrd,/Ike, Hagler/Hearns, and cooney/holmes. Does anone here take pictures at boxing shows or perhaps can point me in the right direction to get some good pictures to add........ Also, how does one market a boxing book, with boxing not being a mainstream sport.....Curiously I have heard that some photographers will allow pictures to be used for free in a book if they get photo-credit.. is such true. Please post any advice or answers. Thanks....... ......

Briggs finally got his career back on track, but he is way overweight. It does not look good. What ever hapened to fighting at 220 or so, or perhasp 230. In a bout that goes longer than 4 or 5 rds, the extra weight might be a detrement to his stamina........... He is 6'4'' so a a good weight would be around 230 or so. He needs to start lsoing it fast for big fights he has coming up...........He has the skills to go all the way.............He needs to be conditioned right.......... ..

I remember reading that his brother was petitioning the courts to get himTim doc Anderson a new trial. Anyone know, the last I heard he was in jail in Florida for life for the murder of Rick elvis Parker........... The whole thing was intertwined with Mark Gastinaeau's career. Courts can be tricky, also, he could have his sentence commuted by the govenor, rumour has it, his water bottle was laced with some drug that made him delirius for their 2nd bout which he lost............ :mad: ;) :) ..

Big George was bigger in career II and had better boxing skills, however he was not as fast in career I. As one get oldder the reflexes fade, however it is widely believed big george was a sharper fighter in career II. :) The second time around he had better stamina, used a crab like defense and was bigger, thus stronger, speed goes to big george in career I though. In career one he beat frazier, norton, he should have beat Ali and in career II his biggest win was over Moorer by ko. :confused: He is so strong and perhaps has boxing's biggest punch ever that he actually could retire for ten yrs and do a comeback and still win a championship, can any other figher do that........ no way. Big george all the way , and big george in career II could have beaten George in career I. :boxing:

If you look closely at Vaulev, he look freakish, even in the face, similar to andre the giant from wrestling who was 7'4'' and weighed around 500 or so. Vaulev is rumoured to be 6'10'' to seven feet tall and weighs 324. Does he posses that disese that andre had where his body just keeps growing..... anyone know, is it possible....Giants his size are rare. :) :o ........

It really looks like pro boxers have a hard time adapting to life when their careers end and also staying out of trouble in general ...... Hamed, dokes bowe, ayala, and others need to be conditioned mentally for a post career life inside the law, not outside the law....a problem for professional boxing that needs to be addressed professionally......soon................

It was a smart move, at this junction he lacks the frame for a heavy and down there he wil be able to develp properly.. :o :o ..... Move too fast in boxing and you can go flying......aka tommy morrsion... :p .....or nate jones from florida , he had to discontinue boxing, he was facing too stiff a competition before he was developed.....he is currently punch drunk................ :mad: ... .....

DVD'd are taking over. Do all dvd players/recorders record in the same mode and play all types of DVD's or are there some DVD players that won't play other types.....Each DVD's has a speed of some type........ What is best for recording/playing boxing???// ....please post. thanks.......

He is facing bellamy or someone like that. I thought Bowe retired , but appently is still trying to regain the glory of his past. He needs to fight a certain style, perhaps use his jab and then slowly land his right and he needs to fight at around 245 to 250. :D Anything higher he will be too heavy and slow.............. :cool: Foreman did a successful comebck, Holmes, did, Ali did not where will Bowe fit in, you tell me...... :mad: ...... I tend ot think bowe will lack the abilty to slip and move and will be a target like ray leonard was agaisnt camacho..... :boxing:

These guys have interesting careers and fight many big names, some actually lose all their bouts, also they are unique to the sporting world........... I am thinking about producing a small book about them or so........ How would such fair in the boxing community, good or bad........ I tend to think readers will relate...........some palookas, are Frankie Hines, jesse Clark, eric Strickland, bruce Johnson and more..........Don;t get me wrong, I consider thses guys to be pro fighters who are indeed brave...and contribute to boxing......... :) ...............
