Williams is all hype at the mo,I'm not toally sold, his chin is soooo open,a veteran like Margarito should take advantage. As for the sparring,I read an article where it was rumoured that Williams did indeed hurt Tony but in the same article,it stated that Margarito gave Williams a beating on alot of occasions too.Clottey is just as dangerous as Williams so I don't see how Margarito can be "ducking" Williams. I'd like to see WIlliams Cintron,my money would be on Cintron, when your chin is that open and the other guy had 1 punch KO power, you#re in trouble,
Zab can't take pressure,Margarito is a pressure machine, trained to pressure. Margarito is faster than Baldo, throws ten times as many punches and is faster than an ancient Pineda, both of whom shook, dropped Judah. Margarito hits harder too. Tony via KO in 8 at the latest.
Margarito has beaten more top 10 WW fighters than anyone else in the division and although he has no A grade names,no one else in the division does either(except Mosley)
He's beaten:
6 heads
Kyvelos
Diaz
Martinez
Cintron
Decent fighters, good records.People may criticise them but fact is,they were threats/most thought they would beat Margarito. And to Floyd nut huggers, you can say 6heads got koed etc etc but which one of Floyd's last opponents ACTUALLY WON BEFORE they fought Floyd?!
Here's why I liek Tony:
Size
Stamina
Power
can use good jab
good bodywork when he needs to
can counter, amongst other things. Stylistically,he would cause most at WW problems.
Totally agree Southpaw bro,Toni got NO credit for beating Cintron, even though Cintron will be a big player at 147 and the same would happen with Williams. Heck Cintron is more dangerous than anyone PBF has fought since Castillo!
The HBO team does not watch the fight in slow mo or second viewing, live alone and I think most agree with me when watching the fight that it looked like JLC won.
Great fighter, like an RJJ though, living off the names he beat earlier in his career. Has done nothing in the last 4 years to justify P4P number 1 status and thinks too much of himself,so no,I am not a fan.
