FYI on Golden Boy Promotions website...Khan is listed as one of their signed fighters. He had great success under golden boy and has done nothing but waste prime years under haymon he's clearly upset would not shock me if he re-signed to Golden Boy.

What good is the crap he talks if nobody understands his language!? Secondly, HBO pushes whomever they see is bringing in viewers, sponsors and filling arenas. Or at least has the potential too. Remember when Rigo headlined a card with Gabe Rosado on the undercard? Do you also remember how viewership dropped off by more than half once Rigo's fight started? Do you think its just some sort of conspiracy that GGG is more in demand than Rigo? Remember when Pac burst on to the scene? Larry Merchant couldn't even pronounce his name right. What happened? Pac dominated his opponent who was the reigning champ by the way and drew interest from fans. Every outing after that he came in the ring to lay it all on the line and grew more and more popular win or lose. There was no initial "push" by HBO. All HBO did was what any other corporation would do and that is continue to give the consumer more of what they want and make $$$ in return! Rigo is a bad investment in the eyes of HBO. If he wasn't they would have given him a contract.
pac is not a good example for ggg ..he is a better on for rigo..pac had a 3 legends to fight...ggg has yet to fight one..rigo has fought 1 and has about 5 other worldclass guys around him he is willing to fight...ggg has 1 worldclass guy around him and he's not witlling to go to 168

Sure HBO does. They found an exciting busy champion. Their push though is only within their own boundaries. It is a lot easier to push a guy who is fan friendly vs a guy who is not. Lets say I wanted to build a boxing related website, and I pushed Rigo heavily on it along with GGG. One of them is going to get the hits and one of them is not. That is fact. Rigo is simply not fan friendly. So after a while what would I do? I would pump out more articles on GGG to sustain readers. You would do the same thing. Anyone who wants to maintain readership or viewership would do the same. It is just how it is.
The problem with so many is because GGG is getting pushed, they think it is about race. I remember times when I could not watch a tv show without seeing Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods in them. It is about likability and it does not involve skin color to 99%. The 1% will find an issue because of their own insecurities. You don't see Kovalev out there getting commercials do you? It is because he is not nearly as marketable as GGG.

Most of this is Rigo's fault, for picking his team of Caribe. One thing you will notice with GGG's team, is that from the very beginning, they have pumped the message out about him. Even GGG has showed up everywhere, at other fights, being accessible to fans, you name it.
I have seen Rigo disappear completely off the map for extended periods. Nothing from his camp. No fights, or even promotional vids or interviews nothing. He does not even self promote by getting himself out there when he is not fighting.
Self promotion is very important.

Little does Tiliheels know that GGG had to prove his worth to HBO for multiple fights before he even got a decent payday. Rigo on the other hand was getting paid more and getting constant boos and low ratings except for the Donaire fight. The guy thinks it is HBO or Showtime who make the stars and that the fighters have nothing to do with it. Arum tried with Rigo to up his game, Rigo did not listen. HBO tried, Rigo did not listen. In the end all he became was an expense. So they dumped him.
Lots of time then goes past and someone finally picked Rigo up (rocnation) and what does Rigo do? He stinks out the joint in response.

Floyd has gotten boo'd at times, but he also made up for it. When Floyd fought anyone who was unwilling to engage, what did Floyd always do? He would engage by walking them down. When someone refuses to engage Rigo, what does he do? nothing.
Floyd also created plenty of drama outside the ring, he was a great salesman. In the ring he was beautiful to watch. The perfection of his gift of gab made up for times when there was not much action. Rigo looks the exact same every fight. We all know what we are getting.
If you want to succeed in this game, to become a star, you need to have an IT factor.
