I can't say of course, but, I certainly would like Fury and Joshua to fight next. Even with Wilder looking for a rematch, that can happen after undisputed.
Not just to get undisputed but because it is the first time since the 1850s where the two champions seeking unification are both British. America has a ****load of them, Brits got undisputeds but Bob and Lennox both danced with Americans for the big fights, Fury-Joshua would be the first time in boxing history undisputed unification was decided by Brits alone. I would like to congratulate that when it happens.
If he retired unbeaten he'd be the first HW boxer to retire unbeaten. Okay that sounds stupid juxta to Rock in my avatar but what I mean is Tyson's not a puncher most of his career, if he goes back to boxing or mostly boxes it wouldn't really be fair to call him a puncher either. Marciano was a puncher, the ten prior from bare knuckle and ancient pygmachia also punchers.
What does it say about boxing if pure boxing got Fury almost KO'd while punching made him look like an unbeatable king and the only man to retire unbeaten prior to him was a pure puncher?
Dethroned the decade long champion Klitschko and stole his lineal honors.
Survived the KO artist with a perfect record of having KO'd every man he faced.
Knocked out the HW champion with the highest KO% of all time.
Became the first two time Ring champion.
Has won every major sanctioning belt.
Could become the winner and undisputed champion in a historic all British event.
Could become the second undefeated HW champion in gloved boxing history period.
Fury's done quite well for himself. I hope he can continue and doesn't balloon.
THats the only thing that is significant that possibly two British fighters control the mantle so far. But you're over hyping the hell out of fury now, and all the shine is being taken out of canelo and is being disrespected again as the #1 p4p fighter right now. Canelo has done all of that of what you said and fury has actually taken time off. If anything, fury is just getting started
Anoki was given options to fight his type of fight. Mcgregor ZERO, who are you kiddin???? Mayweather would gladly enjoy taking your money to invest for his upcoming yacht purchase, you fool!!!
cant you see how obvious it is that manny just toyed with rios? its clear as a day as i can tell.. no need to put more effort... Manny cant KO rios, of course! How can you KO a guy whos doing the "CLOTTERITO" all night long?
No way pacs snap is gone. Pac has put down physically stronger men at welterweight.
Floyd destroys ???? hahahahahahaha You must be blind, floyd don't destroy, he's a defense fool,, you need to pat his head right now cause that fool is getting hot flashes
What is Jrs excuse these days, or hey, right NOW for Ducking PAC :fest30:
Yep destroys. It goes to a 12 round wipe out or a late tko. If you're impressed with this win you're in for a big let down near the future.
Gtfo! PAC does not have the same snap in his punches from the other fights. His language was suspect in the early rounds and he couldn't get him out of there! Floyd destroys manny sad but true.
Hurt much bruh? Sorry bruh, your girl lost the fight :bottle:
Hhahaha the irony from you guys!! I'm not even a rios fan saw this mismatch from a mile away. If you think this was something very impressive from your boy, you're in for a huge disappointment down the line my friend.
Those record breaking compubox numbers are overrated!!! The fighters of yesterday did not throw that many arm punches like tonight. They threw with more precision and didn't waste the way these fighters did tonight.
Gosh this guy needs way more time to polish and clean up his game. This fight went too long for no reason. Far away from the elite, good experience for the guy.
Tiger in the golf world is like Michael Jordan in the basketball world. Kobe and LeBron are in 2nd place to Michael Jordan like Manny still is to Floyd..LMAO!!!!...And who the flying f@ck is Christiana Ronaldo??? Is he a soccer player from a country outside of the USA??? F@ck him!! The USA women’s soccer team rules!!!! And use English on this post assh@le...pinoys????
Dude what hell is your problem???? Get the hell over it!!! The guy is an elite athlete not just a boxer, to be doing this at 40 with the same intensity he had in his like what 15 year boxing career??? Cmon dude it's like Serena Williams still playing at a high level in tennis against woman half her age and beating them!!!
He just did! He beat Jacob's ass remember?? 🤣
Man seriously people don't know how boxing works, want Canelo to get destroyed so bad lol. triple g needs to step it up and fight Andrade or charlo, or charlo fight Andrade. Then they get Canelo
It makes sense for him to fight Fury again straight away.
To wait for the AJ Fury winner would take almost 2 years because AJ has 2 mandatories before he can even consider unifying against Fury (which means Wilder could fight the winner in late 2021 at the earliest).
A third matchup would still make big dollars and would set Wilder up for life without having to go back to fighting bums.
And off course if he beats Fury a mega showdown with AJ awaits.
This is what's killing the game and why people don't want to commit to watch boxing full time like 40 years ago, and the athletes of today do other sports. You're telling me that we have to wait almost 2 years to watch the 2 best heavyweights fight??? so what are you gonna say when 1 of them loses again?? The rubber match needs to be taken care of in the summer and the unification needs to happen at the end of the year or in January at the latest. Y'all really trying to make this fight like a pacquiao mayweather, but this isn't it. The heavyweight division has been dead for 20 years that it desperately needs this fight to be made already
He's probably right. Seeing as how GG couldn't hurt him, or out box him in the first fight, it really came down to Canelo throwing it away by choosing to show off his defense and not focus on output. I have a hard time believing Canelo will make such a stupid mistake this time and ignore his team again. If he does though, I hope GG gets justice this time. GG went the slow and steady route last time and really should have won.canelo had a injury during the fight, thus why he was on the ropes the majority of the time.
Pac vs Mosley rematch...Brad gonna freeze under them lights..."He was faster than I thought...his punches are like a blur"..Brad u cant beat Pac, who u think u are Mayweather?...If Pac struggles with u, u might earn an asswhoopin with Mayweather, and he will finish u off...ur too slow and too small...U gonna bring the pressure to Floyd?..No he gonna bring the pressure to u!
I don't think it's not gonna be the speed, but the power. That will make Bradley go to survival mode. I just don't see Bradley taking this fight seriously at the pressers he was hugging, nuthugging , and laughing with pac!!!!! The same as with what clottey and Shane was doing, something just isn't right.
Thurman won 8 clear rounds in that fight, Garcia about 3. He's not taking the loss well and that's a good thing I guess, he's got something to prove.
THIS is the stuff you keep to yourself, and say this until he retires. This could work against him if he has another close fight and starts to overthink and over reach.
Thurman looked like the 40 going-on 41 yr.old tonight. He was -- at numerous times -- getting clowned on by the older, shorter, smaller, aging warrior who has three (3) full career's worth of mileage on his body. I like Keith, and Pacquiao, also, about the same: I think they're both good guys and the pre-fight trash talk from Thurman was really surprising; maybe he was looking to motivate himself since the general consensus was that even this version of Pac-man (in the closing chapters of his career) was the safer bet in this matchup. I thought Thurman would win by late stoppage, but he looked stunned -- physically, of course -- but his facial expressions from about Rd. 3 or 4 onward were not what you'd normally be seeing from a world-class, undefeated, top fighter in his weight class and in his physical prime years. He looked scared and hurt.
How great WAS the Manny of a decade ago? Way, way, way too good for any version of Keith Thurman -- with a stoppage to One-Time most likely the result. How good IS the Manny we saw tonight? Clearly better than this version of Thurman -- which is what a true fan of boxing should care about at the moment. Layoff, or pay off? The layoff is over and at just 30, in his physical prime, I expected more. Maybe we should have expected this, given the Collazo fight (the body shot that he ate badly), the Guerreo fight (Ghost making a strong come back late, even after all that punishment from Keith), and obviously the Josesito near-disaster outcome.
Bud Crawford or Errol Spence? Thurman knows deep down inside that they are on a slightly higher level, at the very least. On the other side of the spectrum, maybe Keith Thurman knows his career will be derailed by either guy -- it's just a shame that the beginning of the end took place in Vegas tonight.
Bud and spence are still so green. Even though bud was a champ champ at 3 weight classes he opposition were very supar. Same with spence, he couldn't even KO a blown up lightweight throwing a gazillion punches, and the kitchen sink.
Thurman handled himself well he didn't fold like mostly everyone would've and start fighting defensive like all of pacs past opponents.
Lol at women’s USA soccer team hahahahahaha
And I’m American Murcia all the way but stil lol at women’s soccer hahahahahahahaha!!!!
Hey man we gotta put respect on those US woman soccer players, they've been dominating womans futbol!!! But man does the Internet have stupid ass people!!! I made an example about individual athletes in different categories of sports, and how dominant they're in their sport. This fool took it far beyond that it had to, and went full stupid !!!!
but it does mean aj has no heart and got his ass beat and quit vs ruiz tonight
As a fan of Joshua myself, I really question his will. Even though he was on the brink of getting KTFO, he beat all the counts soundly and easy. But, he didn't want to continue!! His heart is really questionable
" his team " accepted $15m.....
$15m !!
but Hearn refused to supply a date/signature, and then included ridiculous impediments like..... no rematch in the event of a draw
what else could they have done..... ?
Wilder accepting the 100m offer from DAZN would not have prevented Joshua from getting wrecked by Ruiz
AJ should have taken the $50m, and not been embarrassed by Ruiz
At this point of time of I refuse to believe either camp y'all. They both didn't want it period!!!!!!!
Why would Loma or Crawford fight GGG or Lara?
....And Canelo lost his last 2 fights and against Lara in the eyes of millions.
YOUre misqouating me. What I'm saying that neither Loma or Crawford have beaten the best in their weightclasses.
The heavyweight division is an absolute joke. Hope Ruiz wins the rematch and then finishes off the other 2 divas. The division needs the biggest fights made, and we all know this. It isn't loaded with top notch talent like yall think it is, outside of those 3. A washed up Cuban and a no name cruiser weight trying to be relevant? The sole reason what caused to happen, happened. They're all trying to be mayweathers
Floyd is 35. 2 years apart. Martinez doesn't have stamina issues and when he is down he comes back in a dominate fashion. Martinez is bigger, south paw, has 1 KO/KD power and is durable. While no one can ever doubt or count Floyd out. If the fight happened at 154 then Floyd would be fighting cautiously because Martinez is bigger and can bang. I never saw anyone that can beat Floyd from 147 or 154 but Martinez has a good shot if he fights smart which he knows how to do.
I agree with this post my friend!!! In my opinion Martinez is going to be a more dangerous fight than cotto, ortiz, and Shane mosley. Martinez will bring in footwork, handspeed, length, size, and a good jab. I don't think he has 1 shot KO power though, but his power is decent. Even though cotto has a good jab he won't have the length to catch Floyd, which Floyd will keep him at bay and tag him all night.
that is another story because there is no defending ggg fighting a guy like rolls. But I have seen Canelo fans shoot down Smith as an option because he's not in canelos level. I've seen the same said about charlo. Referencing him struggling vs dervey or going 12 last night as to a reason why he isn't worth canelos time. Just on this port alone, you see people say how andrade hasn't beaten anyone or isn't on canelos level. Ggg needs to get a belt because he isn't deserving. So if all of those options are beneath Canelo according to them, then who should he fight? Let's be real, Canelo had a close win vs ggg in the 2nd fight and another close win vs Jacobs. Both of those fights were 1 round off from being scored majority draws. People are on here acting like he's dismantling his opposition and is along the lines of a prime Roy Jones. It's crazy. Any of the above options I mentioned dgive canelo a real run for his money right now.
I agree with everything you said, but please rewatch the jacobs fight again. Don't go of these "experts", mute the sound and rewatch the fight several times if you have to. No way it was a round difference
But, Jacobs was in DAZN with Eddie Hearn, not PBC Al Haymon at that time. To stay in the topic, I hope Canelo comply this mandatory and don't thrown the IBF belt. I want to see the undisputed in the 160 lbs division. I prefer the Andrade fight this September with all the belts for grabs. I don't want another split with the belts.
That's not how it works, it's a competitive fight then a tune up or maybe 2 tube ups. It's the Canelo sweepstakes fools
