PBF wants gatti for two reasons, he's a big draw financially and has a huge fan base - it'll be a very high profile fight which Floyd wants for the second reason, he'll TKO Gatti and he wants everyone to see it. i too, think PBF is a bad move for Gatti, he's gonna get roughed up bad. Gatti has become a decent boxer puncher in the last few years but when he's trying to outbox PBF he's gonna get schooled and then TKO'd. if mayweather were to move up to 147, he'll lose most of his punching power but his speed and skills will still give his opponents massive problems. The best fight for PBF at 140, if he decides to stay ( i don't think he will ) is Kostya. KT is big and strong ( on fight night he'll be a junior middleweight ) and skilled enough to get to PBF's chin and check it.
Most of Mayweather's opponents are patsies... he's in gonna be in trouble at 140 if he stays... and he will be killed at 147...
And fighting Gatti... he might do a Marquez, price himself out...
The hell w/ Marquez. Pac's legacy already started when he beat Barrera. AFter he beats Morales, rematches Barrera and then rematches Morales, with a few tune ups thrown in between, he'll acheive legendary status. By then Marquez won't be half the fighter he used to be, cause he'll be fighting nobodies and scrubs. Either Marquez will get KTFO by Pac or he won't even dare to step in the ropes w/ Pac. JMM ruined his career.
JMM doesnt even have a legacy to start with... he hasnt fought any of the two mexicans yet (Barrera and Morales)... he fought Salido last time and lasted the whole 12 rounds... Pacquiao could've dismissed Salido in 3 rounds...
Pacman, would be willing and able to fight him, even inside JMM's living room... he doesnt backout and priced himself out of a fight...
The guy who started this thread, placed a wrong title here... it should be the other way around...
The bottomline is, Marquez chicken out... the first Mexican to chicken out against an Asian...
What a SHAME...
I saw him fight, twice... still a long way to go... if you idolized his father, you'll need patience...
Since, they managed to match him with lemons... just to pad up his win-loss record... keep it clean...
One of his opponents I guess is a bagger at Wal-mart, doesnt know how to throw a punch... maybe his girlfriend punches harder than him...
I like decisive wins. KO's do that for me very nicely. I also like boxing skill and endurance, you know, the stuff that Champions are made of. You know, the stuff that Pac ran-into against Marquez.
Pac is a KO king, whereas Marquez is a very skilled boxer with less KO status. But Pac did not KO Marquez, and Marquez did out-box Pac, that's simple to understand. Those two styles met in the ring and it was settled in the ring.
Fights are not won/lost based on the condition of a guy's face at the end of the 12th round, it's the cards. Pac brought his power/speed style to Marquez very early, but blew his load and Marquez's boxing style was more effective over the next eleven rounds. By the way, ever check Gatti's face after winning by decision?
Again, if you beleive that Pac spooked Marquez because of what you saw against Salido, you don't really know Marquez. That was typical Marquez in there, kinda' like Hopkins in some ways, just taking care of business and getting a win. No KO, but a win no less. That's boxing smart and Marquez always fights slightly above his opponents level, enough to get a win and preserve his brains for when he really needs to go to war, like with Pac in the rematch.
Yeah... he's smart alright... knows how to chicken out...
In trouble at 140 what the hell are u talking about. He killed Chop , he will kill Gatti (and it will happen) and he has a good shot at beating Zoo stoping hating.
I'm not hating dumb@$$... its my opinion and everybody is entitled to one...
Mayweather, is fighting sissies... he keeps on talking he wants Gatti and yet he choose to fight a patsy... cmon' cut the crap...
He even has trouble getting past her girl in a fight, that sometimes he has to use his foot to kick her to get the upperhand...
Let's assume that Pac beats Morales convincingly, because that's actually quite likely. Add that to Pac's complete domination of Barrera. So, there's Pac dominating two of the three top Feathers.
But Pac also got a very strange draw against Marquez, the other top Feather. Pac had him down three times in a round, but still couldn't take him out. In fact, Marquez adjusted and got that draw. If Pac was/is everything that you Pac lovers say, he'd have beat Marquez.
When Pac finishes off Morales, it's just him and JMM to sort-out who's truly Number 1 at Feather.
Yup thats the way it should be... after Morales, go straight to Marquez... if JMM, will price himself out again... that will only prove that he is afraid of the Pacman... and JMM, should just settle for patsy opponents... getting paid with crumbs and no Pay-per-view...
And Marquez will no longer have a right to ask for a bigger purse after Pac finishes off Morales...
Looking forward, Pacman no longer needs Marquez after he beats Morales...
Pacquiao-Morales, this will be one hell of a fight...
They are not trying to pad his record, u just cant toss that kid into the wolves if you expect him to be good. He's never had an amateur career. The kid he fought at his father's goodbye fight was very decent. He definitely went in there to be the one who beat chavez's kid. He is still green, what u want them to throw him in with castillo or something?
not that high of caliber opponent... maybe decent enough to give him a good lesson... learn from it... not to beat the hell out of him...
we'll see, if he will be like his old man... time will tell...
So, you want to talk about his last fights hah...
What about his fight with Barrera? He whopped Barrera's ass... even MAB's brother was in tears when he decided to stop the fight....
Now, most of the Mexican fighters are avoiding Pacman like a plague...
And one tough guy comes in El Terrible... I salute this guy, at least he has the balls to face the Pacman... unlike the other two Mexicans...
can't blame them though, they tasted a real punch from a real man...
