I DO NOT sound like a white Mr. T, I can tell you that. :lol1:
I called in to Horus' show last night, if you it.
I get nervous when I call....I have a bit of a stutter and say 'like' too much. :lol1:
:lol1: I'll have to check it out. Fair play though, I wouldn't have the guts to call in, purely cause I'd be dwarfed by most of you guys and your boxing knowledge. I still consider myself a novice compared to most of you guys. It's damn good to listen in though :D
CARL FROCH is ready to quit the ring if he loses his next fight.
Former WBC super-middleweight champion Froch is still smarting over his controversial points defeat by Mikkel Kessler in Denmark.
And he insists he will think over his future if he fails to beat Arthur Abraham to reach the semi-finals of the Super Six World Boxing Classic.
Froch, 32, said: "The next fight is all or nothing for me. If it doesn't go my way I will seriously consider retirement because I'm only interested in big title fights. I won't hang around at domestic level."
He is adamant his fight with German-based Armenian Abraham must be staged in England and he will withdraw from the Super Sixes if ordered to travel to Berlin.
He warned: "I'm only going to fight on my terms - and I won't be pushed around this time.
"The home-town decisions in this competition have been a disgrace so I am not going to Berlin because there's no chance of getting a verdict.
"I won't be going anywhere east of Nottingham to fight Abraham and it won't be in Showtime's interests for me to pull out."
Froch is convinced he did enough to maintain his unbeaten record against Kessler last month despite pre-fight problems. He said: "Four days beforehand I thought it was off because of the volcanic ash cloud.
"I had a big meal and rehydration drinks - then on the Wednesday before the fight Showtime were begging me to take a private plane to Denmark.
"My preparation was shot to pieces and I didn't have my usual sharpness.
"I had Kessler hurt in the fifth round and usually I would have been all over him and finished it off. But the energy and aggression weren't there. Even so, I went 12 rounds with an absolute legend and still believe I won the fight.
"I have watched and scored it myself and reckon I won by two or three rounds. But that's the risk you run when you defend on foreign soil."
Froch, currently recovering from a perforated eardrum, is due to fight Abraham in August or September.
And if he wins there is a chance of facing Kessler again in the semi-finals of the tournament also featuring Americans Andre Dirrell, Allan Green and Andre Ward.
Froch insisted: "I'd love to get him in the semis because I know how to beat him now."

lmao well said, Carl. Have to admit that's ironic.
I remember I had both the Marquez bros winning their big fights those 2 weekends, but the decisions went against them.
Are we going to get another 12 round war, or an early finish similar to the first 2 fights?
Can someone tell me who this guy is and the backround to him?
He found forum fame through his youtube videos which he used to chronicle his training for his pro boxing career and a fight with a rival (Andrew Hartley) who was already a pro. Charlie went on to lose his fight, and receieved a lot of backlash from forum users, because he quit in the fight.
Now over the past year or so he's been making more videos leading up to various fights that never happened or were cancelled. His latest comeback is scheduled to happen on June 21st.
Btw... after I hung up w/ you guys I kept it on and listened for a bit and enjoyed you guys breaking stuff down.
I'm gonna be going to the fight this weekend and if I don't lose my voice in the arena, we should do another post fight show.
What was going on with the chat last night? I tried to get in but it crashed and then everyone just left. Or was the show just over? :lol1:
And now I'm curious to hear what my old buddy, Shadows sounds like.
Post-fight.
Paulie, slightly swollen and cut.
Paulie: All you guys in the UK, you've got a good ****ing fighter, man. I hope he gives me a rematch - I'd come to the UK again, man.
That girl is a an annoying useless scrap bitch with sharpie brows. She is also on the end of boxingscene's video of the weigh in.
Yeah I saw her on that too, really annoying and obnoxious, attention seeker. We get it, you're rooting for Khan.
its been a long time since i got wound up watching a fight, but that shinny bayaar fight pissed me off.i never had a penny on it but my foot would have gone straight through the tv if i did.that crook dave paris needs to be barred from ever judging or reffing a fight again ever, the clown.sexton never won a single round until the ninth on when he spent the next 4 rounds headbutting and using punches as a disguise to drop the nut on the man time and again.i couldnt believe he wasnt even docked a point??? not one but 2 different cuts opened with the head and there was **** all accidental about them either that was the plan.ah man,im glad i never put no money down.
Yeah imagine if someone had money on that. You'd be disgusted. I was hoping Bayaar would get through the fight after that horrible foul. Can't believe that a fighter can just headbutt someone and there are no consequences. It doesn't go to a technical decision, etc. You could just TKO someone out doing that, a last attempt to win the fight. They need to change that British rule.
Christ almighty, Sky just said Parris scored 4 of the first 5 rounds to Sexton!!
Anyone see this fight? Sexton-Bayaar
Bloody joke. Bayaar should have won 116-112, instead they made it a draw.
Oh no no no no no....
:pat:
:nonono:
LOL.
I consider the USA and Russia to be the same because they are round about the same vicinity, bordering the Pacific and all that.
:lol1: Epic as hell
yeah,i mean accidental head clashes happen all the time, but the kid was steaming in them last four rounds coz he knew he needed the ko.soon as the cut got opened he kept on leading in with the head looking to nail that left eye again.it was bad form.not a word from dave paris??
You're right, man. Not a word from him. He'll move onto his next job tomorrow reffing Mitchell-Katsidis and prob make a balls of that aswell.
Should the fight have been called to a technical decision after the cut, was it really bad?
I'm sick of how corrupt boxing in the UK is. It's nearly as bad as Germany. The Khan/Barrera fight was just as bad. That cut was appalling too.
I think so. But the Sky team mentioned that there is no TD rule for that British title and if the fight was stopped now because of the eye it would be a TKO win for Sexton. I found that amazing, that a fighter down by 8 rounds has the opportunity to headbutt someone and earn a TKO win if they create a decent cut.
That Khan Barrera fight was bad yeah. That fight was made to go into the 5th round so it could be scored. Barrera should have been taken out of there earlier and let it be a NC. Of course that wasn't on Warren's mind, and in the video for the fight you can see him instigating the referee to stop the fight once it reached past the NC watershed.
Oh and....guess who the referee for that fight was...
*drumroll*
Dave Parris!!!
One of the most upstanding and professional referees working today. It's like the attentiveness of Bayless combined with the appropriate leniency of Smoger.
Wait... who am I kidding? It's like they've taken Tilleman and the dude who helped that Crusierweight to his feet and multiplied by 10. Worst ref ever.
Although, to be fair... why the **** is the ref scoring the fight?
:lol1: He was a judge tonight. Apparently he'll be the ref tomorrow for Katsidis-Mitchell.
Help us all.
That's a terrible rule. I mean I could just get in the ring, run around for 8 rounds and then launched a flying butt at Chisora and be crowned the champ!
Parris really is worse than Tilleman.
whenever parris is being introduced as the ref he strokes his big bald head and smiles to the camera and it makes me think the fix is in lol
download that fight when you got a minute shatteredjaw.i dont think dave paris would have said a word if sexton broke a bottle on the ring apron and stuffed it in bayaars face! lol it was national lampoon refereeing!
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
We can only hope he's on form for tomorrow night. You can be sure as soon as Katsidis has so much as a bloody nose he'll be stopping the fight. Only if it's after the 4th round is complete of course.
One of my favorite "slangs" from over there is "waster". I use it.
Thanks UK.
I thought only Irish people said it to be honest! You guys in UK use it too? :lol1:
